I made them guess mine too, and they couldn't help but feel competitive to win.

They ended up fighting for the answer, and it made happy since they really cooperated by telling me that someone else already made that question, and it was not that singer.

The students loved the concept of a family business, and more, because they like pizza.

They started to guess family remember, and recycle that vocabulary.

They learned, and remembered the difference between a waiter and waitress.

It was a great to have a word search, they loved it.

My dream occupation was a deep an d impactful topic. They all thought very hard about what they wanted to do in the future, even, asking for more vocabulary to explain themselves.

Some of them, started making questions to me, too. If I wanted to be a teacher before studying or not.

I mentioned such words as; pilot, and flight pilot. Those were my dream occupations as well.

Here I'm holding all the black and white copies that I made for them, so they didn't have to bring any material but their folder.

Here's the new resource of showing pictures, and creating a story before listening to the audio. They started guess anything they could.

At first, they thought that the story was about a Japanese waiter, with a best friend, who was the delivery boy. It was pretty close to the lesson's story.

This was a difficult lesson to pick a topic to.

The tutor told me that, she

planned to do celebrities related to possessions, but I thought that, it was better to relate both topics, and be ahead of time.

They remembered Ryan Reynolds since, that same week, they went to watch Deadpool 2. It was a very popular topic, trying to guess Ryan Reynold's age, and information.

They would also, be curious about some other people they didn't know. For example; in the next lesson, we would meet Margot Robbie, whose name they didn't remember, but did mention the movie; Barbie.

Vicky, a student who is really uninterested in movies, and any kind of similar entertainment, participated by adding that she didn't like the movie.

Also, I heard some of them feeling embarrassed for liking this type of music. I showed the students that, they can like and listen to what they want. We read about their routines, and they understood quick. They read that they were like any other famous celebrity. Some of them, even wondered about the life of these students. Asking questions about their agenda.

Sabrina, the student who loves this genre of music, felt less shy, and started talking about it.

They talked about their families, and how some of them, had non-identical twins.

Also, Facu, knew what fair skin meant. He had put it in the right chart, which represented the ethnicity of the students. They've learned how to say half- Jamaican. They started wondering about their mixed blood as well. Some of them, stated they were half-italian.

The topic was fun, and easy to understand, while also, reviewing possessions.

The usage of highliting in a text was a great tool to make

differences between verbs, nouns, and adjectives.

Today’s lesson was filled with energy, curiosity, and a lot of fun! We explored occupations, nationalities, and physical descriptions through a unique topic: pen pals.

Here's how it went:

-They didn't know what a pen pal was! So, we revised it, and changed it for an e-mail. The title changed to; E-friends.

The discussion about whether they'd ever had a friend from another country sparked some great conversations. Several students shared personal stories about friends from abroad, including one student who mentioned a friend from Brazil. It was wonderful to see them making these personal connections with the topic.

They have online friends, since social m. is everywhere!

A special shout-out to Facundo, Ivan, and Isaac for their active participation and enthusiasm! I’m looking forward to seeing how they apply these new structures in the next lesson.

During the pair work, where students asked and answered questions about their routines, there was such a nice sense of teamwork. They were really encouraging each other, with one student gently reminding their partners. The students that know a bit more of English, also, were helped by their classmates, remembering them to not add -S or -ES since we were not talking about HE/SHE/IT.

I’m particularly pleased with the level of creativity and engagement shown in the comic strip activity – it was not perfect but it ended on a fun note.

To wrap up the lesson, we played a brain teaser game, and it was the perfect way to review everything we’d covered. The students were entertained, even fighting for answering with excitement and working together to figure it out. I thought they would, perhaps, not be into it, since it was a math problem. However, they loved it!

I saw Paula, and Bianca ( who hate math) trying to solve it.

She liked the fonts, and cartoons more.

Well this class, was a bit calmer. The students really knew the vocabulary instantly. It was very easy for them to recognize the meaning of them.

They also liked playing the game of, changing, or thinking what habits to change for the future. I commented about my unhealthy habits, they laughed, and judged. We ended up talking about the importance of them.

Some of them, like Santino, started joking about my lack of sleep, even!

I only had a short amount of time in the lesson, since, the teacher had to give them back their graded exams.

I focused on building foundational language skills for A1-A2 students, such as present simple, the to be verb, and the use of have got, and has got.

I believe that, many lessons like the K-pop idols’ routines, daily life, their dream occupation, their family's occupations, and the description of appearances, allowed them to relate grammar and vocabulary to something they genuinely enjoyed, making the learning process more engaging and personal. We give them access to real-world experiences. Language as a way to communicate, and not, to repeat!

I took a more inductive approach at the end of the lessons, I think, as I made them, search for examples in texts, and explain to me the new structures they would find. They were navigating through their learning process.

I lectured them a lot about not making fun of pronunciation, or anything related, as we were all equals, and learning!

These small talks not only helped to consolidate the importance of learning pronunciation but also fostered a supportive and collaborative classroom environment.

They thought that the girls from The parent trap movie were real! But, I popped their bubble and told them that it was only one actress. We laughed about it.

I made all 30 copies for them to talk about this image. They were black and white, and the ones that didn't bring the worksheets, had to glue them on their folder sheet.
