This helps to divide a large number of people into group so businesses can target the right market for promotions ect.<br><br><strong>Psychographic segmentation</strong>: This is where businesses look at consumer buyer behaviour which covers lifestyle, activities, interests, opinions, personality, values and attitudes.<br><br><strong>Sociocultural segmentation</strong>: &nbsp;Social class, religion, subculture, culture</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Geographic segmentation:<br>- </strong>When customers are served in a certain way or when a business has a broader target audience and they want to make sure that it isn't set to certain people. it depends on the size of the business and the area of the business.<br><br><strong>Demographic segmentation:<br></strong>-   A few examples of demographic segmentation are age, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, family and family income etc. This segmentation puts their consumers into certain categories so the business can find more out about the needs of certain people.<br><br><strong>Psychographic Segmentation:</strong><br>- A few examples of the segmentation here are personality, values of people, attitudes, interests and a persons lifestyles. This way of segmentation allows the company have a better understanding of the customers needs and wants and will be able to easily figure out who they can target with what product.<br><br><strong>Sociocultural Segmentation:<br></strong>- beliefs, attitudes, culture and social segmentation.<br><br><strong>Behavioural Segmentation:<br></strong>- This is based on the behaviour of the consumer towards a product, so their attitude and their knowledge towards products. the business will look at the patterns of what people do when  they buy a product, what they look for and their reactions of prices etc.</div>]]></description>

This marketing approach is common for small businesses.<br><strong>Psychographic</strong> - involves dividing your market into segments based upon different personality traits, values, attitudes, lifestyle and values. This segment is adventurous because it allows you to engage in product design and marketing in a focused manner. <br><strong>Demographic</strong> - is market segmentation according to age, race, religion, family size, gender, income and education.<br><strong>Behavioural</strong> -  is a marketing strategy based on actual consumer buying behaviour.  It divides the market into groups of customers according to their knowledge of, attitude towards, use of or response to a product <br><strong>Socio-Cultural </strong>-    combines social and cultural variables which are related to the shared values, beliefs, attitudes of people that provide further basis for segmentation. </div>]]></description>

From this perspective, Hilton targets customer segment represent middle and senior aged professionals with high level of income belonging to upper social class. <br><br>- <strong>Psychographic</strong> -&nbsp; psychographic segmentation used by Hilton involves targeting ambitious individuals who would like to express their perceived high status and achievement by staying in five star rooms offered by the hotel at premium prices. <br>- Socio Cultural- <br><br><strong>-Behavioural</strong>-&nbsp; Behaviour segmentation is based on the consumer response to his requirements. </div>]]></description>
