Th article I found to give the greatest clues

about the iceman's life is: The ax.

I believe this because he was able to make flint,

and a bow. With these articles he was able to expand.

Hunt with the bow he made, and make tools with the flint.

Also I believe he could have made the cap he wore on his

head from the skin/fur from the animals he hunted.

the copper axe found alongside Otzi, the Neolithic mummy gave me the most clues to how he had lived. The axe probably meant he was a warrior/leader. Otzi probably used the axe to cut down trees or use it as a weapon. He probably used it to kill animals and use it for clothing or for food. This axe was a copper bladed axe so I thought that he lived right around either the start of the copper age or the middle of the copper age.

When Otzi the neolithic iceman died, he died on a mountain. Laying near him was a copper axe. One clue why he had the axe could be he used it to cut doen trees for wood. Another clue is he could've used it for hunting goats because his clothes were made out of goat skin.

Another is he probably used it for a weapon. If soomebody was trying to kill him he could use the copper axe to fight back so he doesn't die. Meanwhile he also could use his wood to make a shelter so he doesnt freeze to death. This is what I found interesting, that was found with Otzi the Neolithic Iceman.

axe is the one thing that he would never trade. This was his prized possession.
The axe is probably what he used for everything. He could have hunted animals
with it. By hunting animals he could get food or clothing. He could use the
animal skins to make warm clothing. His axe could have also been used for being
a warrior. He could have used his axe for anything. Another thing he used it
for was to fell trees. He used his axe for everything which is why I think it
gives the most clues about his life.

His hat was made of bearskin and delicately stitches so that it would not fall apart. This hat gave us clues about the climate he lived in, the time period he lived in and what he did for a living. The hat gave clues about the climate he lived in because, the bearskin on the hat was meant to keep him warm, which makes us conclude that he lived in a cold climate. The bearskin hat gave clues about the time period because of the stitching on it. In a certain time people became clear about stitching and mending clothes together. It gave us clues about what he did for a living because of the animal skin or fur. Since there was fur on the hat he probably killed the animal himself or he traded for it with other goods. This makes us conclude that he was a hunter or trader.

Next, his jacket. This was made from domestic goat hide and fur. This was also carefully cross-stitched together. This also gave us clues to the climate, time period and his job. The climate because of the animal fur and hide, which were meant to keep him warm. This could mean that he lived in a cold climate. This jacket gave clues to to the time period because once again from the skilled stitching. Otzi's jacket gave different clues to his job though, this gave clues that he was a shepherd or trader. It gave clues because of the domestic goat hide, domestic means trained or tamed.

Last, but certainly not least there was the neolithic mummy's shoes. The shoes were made with deerskin bearskin and for insulation there was grass netting. These gave us clues about the climate and what he did for a living. Twas told by the grass insulation to keep him warm, this could mean that he lived in a cold climate. The shoes gave clues about his job, was either hunting or trading because of the animal skin.

With all this evidence I can conclude that Otzi was a trader, lived in a cold climate and lived during the time when stitching was first invented. I can also conclude that his clothing gave the most clues about the neolithic mummy's life. Could you?

Based on the information I have read and analyzed about the Neolithic mummy, I have inferred that his copper axe provided the most important details on his life. The axe told scientists a lot about his journey and lifestyle. It also told around the time he lived. The copper axe was definitely critical to discovering almost everything they have today about how Ötzi survived, up until his tragic death on the rocky mountains.

  The copper axe told scientists a lot of interesting and amazing things that nothing else could show. Mainly, it told when he lived. Because it was copper, we know he lived during the copper age. It was towards the beginning. This, archaeologists know because of how the rope was wound around the pieces of flint. Adding all this together, archaeologists know that Ötzi lived around five-thousand three hundred years ago. The copper also shows he came from a group of wealthy people or he traded to get the axe.

Some people believe that the axe was a symbol of power. Not many people had these types of things with them while climbing a mountain. The Neolithic mummy may have had this copper axe to show that he was not just a man, but a leader of a tribe as well. Back in that time, everyone would avoid the leader in hope not to get executed. A leader had almost all power. Ötzi may have been crossing back over the mountains from a long journey or mission, but gotten killed in the process. Thanks to this small, simple tool we can put together so many small details to make one larger conclusion about Ötzi’s journey and his planned destination.

The many weapons that
Otzi the Neolithic Iceman possessed were the greatest piece of evidence that
influenced my decision on him being a leader/warrior in his society. They show
he was an armed warrior. And among these weapons was his beloved copper ax.
This was known in many societies to show leadership or a high rank. All of
these weapons show he wasn’t just a shepherd. If he was, he would have a couple
simple tools to defend his animals. A trader would just trade for animal skins
and food and wouldn’t need many weapons either. Besides, a warrior without
tools is like a chef with only a fork. Since he was a leader, he needed good
tools to defend himself. The copper ax also shows that he lived in the copper
portion of the Stone Age. These pieces of evidence show that Otzi’s man weapons
are the strongest piece of evidence to support he was a warrior/leader.

The artifact that I found to provide the greatest clues about the Ice Mans life was

his copper axe. I believe his copper axe told most of his history. The axe showed that Otzi

the Neolithic mummy could have been a warrior or leader. I think this because in one of

the articles it said in Otzis time period it was rare to own a copper axe. This indicated that

Otzi could have been in a high Rank of wealth maby like a warrior, or he could have been

a hunter that was given the copper axe from one of his elders to become maby the next

hunter in his family. The axe also told us what time period he was from. As said in the

article the scientists studying the Ice Man said that Otzi must have been from the Copper

Age where people knew how to make copper, because of his copper axe the

archeologists said that people from that long ago didn’t posses copper until the copper

age. This tells us what time period he was from.

In addition it would make sense that the Iceman could have been a leader or warrior because the copper axe would have been held by the leader of a group because leaders are the most reliable people in a group like this and the copper axe showed he was high-ranking.

If Otzi was a warrior he would mostly get his food from hunting, and his 60 cm cooper bladed ax would be a perfect tool for the job. In the new stone age everybody farmed for there food so i presume there still is a small chance that Otzi could have used his ax for farming. He could have used his ax for wood chopping also. He could have used the wood he chopped for arrows to his bow. Those are a few reasons why Otzi's ax was his most important tool

                Also he could’ve used it for protection. As he was traveling his trade routes if he came across something he would be able to protect himself from animals and other humans.  Also he could use it for other practical uses while traveling get to the next trading site. He could use it for cutting wood for a fire, making more weapons, cutting down trees, and making shelters. The ax was a very important tool in Otzi’s daily life; it had many uses that helped him survive. That’s why the copper ax was most informative because it gave many clues about his life and many other daily jobs.

  Otzi the Iceman is one of the
greatest scientific discoveries of our time, and baffles many of the smartest
people in the world. Artifacts that were on and surrounding his body gave us
clues to who he was and how he lived.

  I believe that the most important
artifact found was the copper axe that was near his body. I think this gave the
most clues and was the most helpful because it told us not only about who he was, but how he lived as well.  Many
things about the axe show us the history of Otzi the Iceman.

    For example, the axe helped them conclude what period of time Otzi was from. They determined
that he was part of the Neolithic age, which was the later part of the Stone Age, where they started to make polished weapons. It also determined that he was
from the copper age, where copper was very popular and was valuable. Not only
did it tell about when he came from, but it told us about who he was. Copper
was a statement of high value and social ranking, so, Otzi would have had to
have been really powerful, or worked hard. So, that concludes that he was
either a warrior/leader, or even a tradesman who traded many of his things to
get the axe.

  The copper axe is helping us uncover the
mystery of the Iceman, and shows us a bright light into our past. Though his
life is still a total mystery, we can conclude that he was a hardworking man
who was determined to get where he was going to go. We may never know the
complete truth, but we can still guess on who this man was and how he lived.

is his axe is made of copper which back then was probably

valuable and hard to get. Also it shows he's a warrior being

that he could get food for his people by hunting animals

with it. One more reason is he could protect himself when

hunting or someone is trying to kill him. That is why his

       The clothing found on Otzi, the iceman, in my opinion, was the greatest artifact 

discovered.  I think that the clothing was an important artifact because it told a lot about  

his life.  The pieces of clothing that were found on and near Otzi were his bearskin cap,  

his tights, his jacket, and his shoes.  The bearskin cap told me that he could have been  

a hunter.  It also told me that he hunted large animals, since the hat was made of

bearskin.  His tights told me that he could have been surviving in cold climates.

 His jacket, along with his tights, were made from the hide of domestic goat.  They  

were cross stitched, which could have meant that he was a the top of his social class.

Otzi’s shoes were made of deer skin, and bear skin, along with grass netting for

insulation.  Overall, I think that the clothing was the most important artifact found 

 along with Otzi.

The article that gave the most clues about otzi the iceman was theopper axe.This is because the copper axe tells us that he lived in the coppper age.That means hes very old.Also the axe tells us his symbol of status.The copper axes symbol of status was high.He could have been a leader or warrior. Otzi lived in a time called Copper Age, which was exactly what his ax was made out of, copper. Thanks to his ax, Otzi was able to make a new bow to replace the one he had traded away or broken. Otzi was able to create and build a new bow. Believe it or not, the bow was so gigantic that it was taller than Otzi himself. Finally, I say this with great sadness Otzi had been frozen to death. In the meantime, found right next to Otzi was his gorgeous copper ax. Coincidence? I think not. That shows that even on his deathbed Otzi cared deeply for his ax.

In my own opinion, Otzi was a very wise man who's life was cut too short. Clearly, his beautiful copper ax was his most important artifact. In conclusion, judging by the evidence in the passage, the copper ax Otzi used was his most important artifact.

     Otzi maybe have used the axe in the copper age to hunt animals for clothing and food. Or maybe to protect himself from animals. The axe was so well preserved you can tell Otzi worked hard to receive the piece of history. people are still amazed by this amazing discovery today.
