An Experience Like No Other

My first M² experience was only this year, and I am so appreciative to be part of this community. The participants and staff/faculty were all some of the most creative, dedicated, kind people I've ever encountered. I was blown away by the ways in which every detail was thought of to create an all-encompassing experience where I learned and grew a ton. Yasher koach on 10 years!

The Senior Educators Cohort came at the perfect time for me. After putting so much of myself into my learners, I had the chance to take a step back and reflect on my own educator journey and practice. SEC gave me confidence and language around my practice as an educator. It also gave me lifelong friends!

It was April 2022 and the world was slowly starting to re-gather in person. M² convened a gathering of its 18x18 fellows at a farm in upstate NY. It was before I joined the M² staff; I was there representing PJ Library. After we had spent the day learning together, we sat around a simulated campfire (with a nod to Kolb, sometimes you have to mediate an experience) and sang songs, relishing in being together after so many months on Zoom.

Finding Joy

Participating in SEC a few months after October 7th was tough for me, but I found joy in this cohort and we even sang and danced together.
