WHY IS SANTA CECILIA THE PATRON OF MUSICIANS?

There are historical studies that tell us different theories about why Saint Cecilia is the patroness of musicians. Below I tell some theories:

1- Some say that on the day of her marriage, the musicians were playing, and she was singing to God in her heart.

2- Other tell you that Pope Gregorio XIII, named her the patroness of musicians because she had an excellent attraction to the melodic chords of the instruments and had passion for music. Becoming her name, a symbol of music.

3- Other studies say that from a young age and following Roman tradition and customs, Celia must have started and played some musical instrument (the lyre, or the harp), for that reason she became an icon of music.

4- But the hypothesis that stands out the most is the one that says that when Cecilia was beheading, they gave her 3 hacks and let bleeding out. She took three days to die and those three days she was singing to God, reason why they named her patroness of the musicians.
