It wasn’t just for decoration, it was something useful for her to store her jewelry in. I designed it with both function and beauty in mind, using pockets and shapes that matched a flower theme.

For my project, I made a ribbon design-yogurt cup. My main goal in creating this ceramic work is to utilize this in my life, and also have a physical representation of my identity. Since making ceramics starts from my own imagination and creation, it will show my true identity and characteristics the best. The function of my work is to use this cup in my daily life. I tend to utilize cups daily, whether it is for drinking, or eating cereals/yogurt. As for the design, I used pink colored ribbons and hearts because it shows my outgoing personality, and gives a positive energy.

For my final project, I created a ceramic piece that can function as either a vase or a cup. My goal was to convey a sense of balance through the interplay of blue and white tones. I chose these colors to evoke calmness and harmony, and I intentionally left the brush strokes visible to give the piece a more organic and natural feel. The texture created by the strokes adds depth and character, reflecting the handmade quality of the work. Overall, this piece represents the beauty of imperfection and the harmony that can be found in simplicity.

For this project, I created a food bowl with lavender carving designs. I intended to gift my mom the final product as a way to express my gratitude, since in certain cultures, lavender often symbolizes motherhood. The light-pink details on the carving were done to convey the idea of peace and femininity. Not only were the wavy edges done intentionally for decorative purposes, but it was also done to place chopsticks on top of the bowl. Although the design of the bowl was not accurately executed, the functionality and meaning still remain important.
