Saint Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March in Ireland and around the world. 

This day is the tradicional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

The day conmemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.

Saint Patrick’s day is celebrated around the world, in the five continents. 

The most famous place is Ireland. However, Saint Patrick's day is a special day around the world.

North Ireland doesn´t celebrates Saint Patrick’s day because they doesn’t follow catholic religion.

 Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, Irish traditional music sessions, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks.

More effort is made to use the Irish language, especially in Ireland, where the week of St Patrick's Day is "Irish language week". 

Christians may also attend church services, and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day. Perhaps because of this, drinking alcohol – particularly Irish whiskey, beer, or cider – has become an integral part of the celebrations.

In Saint Patrick's day we can find a lot of sports events like football or rugby competitions.

T-shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, hats, glasses, shoes, shocks... must be green to celebrate Saint Patrick's day.
