We would describe the apple as being red, green, and yellow. We noticed that the apple is brown at the top where the stem is. It is round and firm. By analyzing the firmness we can predict that it is not yet ripe. We are estimating the apple is 2'' tall. The circumference of the apple is approximately 4''. The diameter is approximately 1''. Using our ruler, we can justify that the measurements of our apple are in fact correct. It has some bruises and defects on the skin. It is flat on the top and bottom. Parts of the apple are shiny and some are dull. We wonder what type of apple it is based on the data we have gathered about the apple.

The fruit is firm and round with shiny surface. It has a small hook shaped bruise on the peel on the lower portion of the apple and an almost unnoticable bruise in middle of apple. The stem would be considered the top and the blossom end would be considered the bottom. It is yellow-green in color with irregular red shading. Our group interpreted the apple is either a gala or a honey crisp by the color and shape. The average mass of a gala apple is ~180 g while the average mass of a honey crisp apple is ~ 200 g. Therefore our group's hypothesis is that the apple's weight is between 150 g and 200 g based on the data our apple is on the smaller size.

After we inspected the apple, we would describe it in the following ways: the color of the apple is a mixture of red and yellow colors blended together; it is a young apple that is maturing; it has a small stem; and it has a small bruise and/or soft spot on it. We could determine the circumference of the apple by measuring the radius with a ruler then multiply the radius by 2pi.

If you examine the coloration of our apple you will notice the shades of green, yellow and red that you can identify across the surface. Based upon our observation we believe the apple will taste delectable. Our apples were purchased at a local Wal-Mart. However, the food itself was imported into the state of Arkansas that were from 17 particular states. Specifically selected for their superior product.

The apple is described as moderately dull with an orangish-red coloration with varying yellow stripes throughout. While the coloration compares to that of a sunset, the apple examined contrasts with the traditional bright red teacher's apple. Upon analyzing the apple, it was determined the apple measures approximately a half of a cup or four ounces. The serving size of the apple represents one serving of the suggested daily fruit intake.
