When I found this game, I think it is just a game that kids enjoy for fun, not a real fight. However, I was amazed to know that there were people who died while playing this game. It is a scary game but I think it is meaningful because people kicked out Japanese by Seokjeon when they attacked Korea. But when we just enjoy it for fun, I think we have to set rules so that people can be safe without getting hurt. I can't look for it right now, In the past, people would be able to relieve stress and cooperate with their neighbors through this traditional game.

When I first heard about Seokjeon, I thought it was a Korean version of the "Hunger Game". It is because it was held annually, people died during the game, and the victors were granted a great prize. However, I was surprised to learn that people actually enjoyed this game, and it was also greatly enjoyed among the youths during the Joseon Dynasty. I believe that it is popular because, like capture the flag or war games, it is thrilling and requires strategic minds in order to win this game. Through old records, it is told that Seokjeon is not simply a game where one throws rocks at the opponents, it is a battle. In Joseon, there was an army specifically designed to practice Seokjeon, and soldiers played Seokjeon to prepare for wars.

When I first found this traditional game, Seokjeon, I thought it could be fun, but I thought it might be dangerous too. But the more I research, the more I don't know why people thought it was a game and enjoyed it. Still, I thought there was a rule for preventing such injuries, such as quitting if someone got hurt. But it wasn't. At the records, it may be an exaggeration, but people doesn't care if someone's head explodes and brain pops out. According to the records of a foreign missionary, it is no different than a fight between gangsters, and in the case of a village-to-village fight, it is not a separate stadium, but it is fighting in the village, so even if you do not want to participate, you may get hurt. I don't think it makes sense. If someone sees you and thinks you are participating in the game and throws a stone, you will be injured. And it was shocking that even the king enjoyed seeing the Seokjeon... Of course they were wearing helmets that made of straw(짚), but at the end of the game there must have been a lot of injuries.
