         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mexican American War<br>A revolution between Mexican-American wars on the invasion of mexico lead for armed forces to fight back for territory.The war begun on 1846 and lasted 2 years ending approximately around 1848.The war was taken place in Texas which Mexico considered as part of their territory. The US agreed to pay $15 million to pay the physical damage of war. In addition, the United States assumed $3.25 million of debt owed by the Mexican government to US citizens. Mexico recognized the loss of Texas and thereafter cited the Rio Grande as its national border with the United States.Therefore,Mexico enters "a period of self-examination". <br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>March 3rd 1820<br>The Missouri Compromise was a United States federal statute devised by Henry Clay.This was the split between the U.S. states. The states divided because of slavery. The north side of the states didn't want slavery but the south did. The way that they separated the states by prohibiting the practice in the former Louisiana Territory north of the parallel 36°30′ north, except within the boundaries of the proposed state of Missouri. This would be the border between the north and south.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Oregon Trail (1836)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Oregon Trail stretched from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon City, Oregon. It started in 1836 by two Methodist missionaries named Marcus and Narcissa Whitman. They  drove their wagon as far as Fort Boise,  they proved that wagons could travel on the Oregon Trail. many pioneers migrated west on the Oregon Trail. Some bought "prairie schooners," wooden-wheeled wagons covered with sailcloth and pulled by oxen. Most walked, however, pushing handcarts loaded with a few precious possessions, food, and other supplies. The trip took months, even if all went well. </div>]]></description>
