         <title>1949-Germany divided in 4 zones </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>May 8, 1949 Germany was divided into 4 zones occupied by the US, France, Great Britain and the Soviet Union. The division caused a lot of tension between the western allies and the Soviet union. The impact of domestic polices were all zones had some sort of different control and the living standards since they were broken into west and east Germany there was capitalism and communism. </p>]]></description>

         <title>1947-Truman Doctrine </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>March 12, 1947 President Harry S. Truman introduced a speech to help with military and economic assistance for the less fortunate countries. The impact was more towards the foreign polices. As the Truman Doctrine provided economic and military aid to countries that were close to being attack with communism and the US wanted to prevent that. This worked when the US provided economic and military assistance to Greece and Turkey when they were facing communism.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1953 Dwight D Eisenhower won by a landslide and became the new president for the US. He was the first republican president in 20 years. The impact domestically he wanted to focus on civil rights and economic growth. There was more of an  impact with foreign policies, Eisenhower wanted to limit the spread of communism and help other countries. This also influenced the US. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>January 5, 1957 the Eisenhower Doctrine was created. Eisenhower allowed countries to request american economic assistance or aid from the US military forces and he was motivated by protecting and securing countries integrity and political independence from communism. The impact was more of forge policies the doctrine was aiming towards being able to provide military and economic aid but with more harsh direction. This led the US to be more involved with putting alliances with countries such as Lebanon.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In June 1948 Stalin closed off the highway and all railroad routes to Berlin which was going to be a big problem since no one in Berlin would be able to have access to food or fuel and there wouldn't be enough food to last them about 5 weeks. This had more of an impact on foreign policies to create pressure on the allies and to be able to take control over East Germany while everyone was beginning to panic. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <title>August 1961- Berlin wall was built</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In August 1961-1989 the Berlin wall began being built. Also, It was supposed to be temporary, until free and fair elections could be held. This had a little bit of domestic and foreign policies. The foreign policies impact were with the wall being a symbol for the cold war and created  division between west and east and caused tension between two or more. The domestic policies also  had an impact because they weren't able to be free and were separated from their families sometimes.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <title>1945 July 27- Korea divided </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>July 27, 1945 Korea was divided into two nations which were nationalist and communist. They would be placed under allied control until they were ready for self rule. The north side was controlled by the soviet union and the south side was controlled by the US. North Korea had a hard time economically and still North Korea continues to face tough economic sanctions.  The division of Korea had more of an impact on foreign policies in the beginning, by the first military action being taken under the foreign policy of containment in 1950-1953. </p>]]></description>

The U.S. was ready to fight and to  not have Communist expansion anywhere in the world. Kennedy was handsome and young his goal was to get America moving again although he wasn't very experienced. JFK becoming president had more of an impact on foreign policies as there was ongoing tension in the world  while maintaining a strong stance against the communism that was trying to be spread also with alliances he had shown a big difference.  </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On April 17, 1961 The bay of pigs happened and it was a complete failure. It took way too long for the troops and ammunition to get off the ships. Also, The U.S government looked weak and this was an embarrassing time for Kennedy. This had more of an impact on domestic policies and showed weakness in the US. The failure caused things to be changed like communication and timing, Kennedy was embarrassed.  </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <title>1962- Cuban missile crisis </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the summer of 1962 the Cuban missile Crisis occurred. This was when Soviet weapons to Cuba were  increasing which also included nuclear weapons that were super dangerous. Kennedy responded with a warning and said that these Nuclear weapons would not be tolerated by America. Also American Planes took photos that revealed many soviet bases that held missiles ready to launch. The domestic impact on the crisis brought attention to focusing more on security and shaped policies to remain away from communism. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1963 in Dallas to speak at 12:30pm before he could speak Kennedy was assassinated. As he was shot his blood was splattered everywhere and Mrs. Kennedy was holding him tight when he fell over. This had a domestic impact because he was the world leader and was dealing with world problems like the Cuban missile crisis. Also now the US would need to find a new President to lead the country in the middle of the cold war.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

He was accusing many officers of communism which caused President Eisenhower to push for an investigation against McCarthy for the charges. McCarthy Remained as a Senator but with everything he lost all power so there would be no point. This act allowed the US to be more selective on who they allowed to immigrate into the US by only accepted individuals or immigrants  who were willing and able to adapt to the US economic social and political systems they didn't want to collect communism. This act had more of an impact on domestic policies because this was more focused on fixing the concerns about the internal security and protecting people from the threat of communism and father communism within the US. </p>]]></description>
