Leaving Vietnam

Once I was nine, my family and I decided to go to Texas. We spent all our money on the tickets, I remember the night we headed out to the airport, once we got past security and got our bags checked. My mom and I sat and waited for our plane, a couple of hours later it came and we started boarding. This was the first time I ever flew on an airplane. We sat down in our seats and when we landed in Hong Kong, we had to wait again for another flight. It had already been like 12 hours since we were in Vietnam. We waited a bit before our next plane pulled up. We boarded like usual and continued our flight. Once we landed in Texas, we were greeted by our cousins who lived in Texas, he gave us a house to live in and we moved into that house.

We settled into an apartment before my mom put me into a school, the school I was put in was Atkinson Elementary. Atkinson Elementary wasn't bad but it was nasty, the restrooms were always dirty and toilet paper would be soggy. Sometimes there would be some creature crawling around on the floor. When I got to 2nd grade, I met this teacher called Mrs. Cundiff, Mrs. Cundiff was a blonde teacher with glasses, she was a very nice and gentle teacher, she would give you the time you needed and be patient with you, she taught me how to write and read. She made it interesting by adding games to it. She was the teacher that I needed to learn English. If I got a word wrong, she would help me pronounce it and how to write it out. She helped me pick out books that were good and interesting like the Magic Treehouse series. The best ones were Night of the Ninjas and Mummies in the Morning.

Soccer Era

When I turned 11, I was interested in goalkeeping, so I asked my mom to buy me a soccer ball, and she did. I started practicing by myself and most of the time alone, until I met a friend called Khang, he went outside and we played together for hours every day. I would save every shot he did, I asked my mom to buy me some gloves and she did.

Haunted House

When we moved in, it was normal at first until a couple of weeks passed and every night the restroom downstairs would randomly turn on. We even heard music even though nobody was awake. It got so bad to the point I was terrified to stay home alone that I just ran to the backyard and stayed there until someone came home. I usually stayed downstairs and played Jenga with my mom, but one day it felt weird. Like something or someone was watching us, we looked around and nobody but we still had the feeling. The floor was colder than it usually was which made me get the chills. It got so bad to the point at NIGHT, we would hear footsteps, the bathroom light would turn on by itself, and the faucet turn on by itself, it was a mess so we decided to move out and go to the apartments which are where we live now.

Choir era

When I was in 5th grade, I decided to join the choir because it was easy and simple, when I first got to the classroom I got nervous and said hello to Mr. Eveler and Ms. Darby. They were really nice and so I started singing slowly but surely. It was like normal until one day it was time for a CONCERT at Beverly Hills. I got ready with my choir shirt on and left for the stage, my classmates and I were really nervous but we stuck to the end and made it out with a 100.

Friendship

In 2017, I met David Dang, we talked to each other everyday, I would usuallu come to his house and play with him for the whole day. After a couple years, David and I are bestfriends, his personality matches mine quite a bit. He would come outside and play for around weeks, we went to Urban Air and Jumping World multiple times together.
