the warring states period lasted from 700-221 bce. During the warring states period was competition between the states increased, and armies grew much larger, with professional generals, often of humble origin, commanding massed ranks of infantry and cavalry. The smaller states were swallowed up by the larger until only six powerful kingdoms were left. in the end, the state that stopped/won the war was the Qin dynasty.

confucius believed that government service should be open to men of all ability and merit and not limited to those of noble birth. daoism promoted a peaceful society daoism began with the idea of laozi, laozi is believed to have lived during the same time as confucius.

the qin dynasty won the war of all the other dynasty and was the first dynasty to unified all chinese empires. he made the terracotta soldiers to be in his grave because he wanted them to protect him and guide him to heaven.

Han Dynasty: 206 BCE-220 CE

the han dynasty lasted for more then 400 years. the han dynasty made it so you can be a government worked by taking tests. they favored rich people and made it so only rich people can get there son educated
