As many of us are coming back to the physical classroom, reintroducing in-person icebreakers is an important element of our teaching practice that can help promote: 1) resilience, 2) a sense of community, and 3) student engagement. Icebreakers can have a substantial impact on your students’ cognitive and affective development. This poster presentation will dive into specific examples of how we have effectively used icebreakers in our ESOL classrooms to address these 3 themes stated above and share what we have learned. We will also discuss best practices and the importance of reflecting on how icebreakers can affect your teaching.

Click the link below to watch our presentation:
https://padlet.com/delaneyybarra/64emtug5lzubn6pg

Also join us from 10:30-11:00am for further discussion.
