This is an outdoor activity that can come in handy with public services because if your in the fire or police service you can use the experience you would have off doing this and be able to use that to help whoever needed it. you have safety gear to keep you safe and in the rare accation something happens you'll be safe with your harness and supports but you'll also have other protection.

this activity can come in handy when the public services need to give you experience on these things if this type of activity can really help you with your future because the army, police and fire service need to be able to do this incase they need to safe someone in harms way.

Orienteering is an exciting and challenging outdoor sport that exercises both mind and body. The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map; as a competitive sport the challenge is to complete the course in the quickest time choosing your own best route; as a recreational activity it does not matter how young, old or fit you are, as you can run or walk making progress at your own pace on the courses planned to suit you. This activity will help in public services because police and other services will need to know how to use a map and how to get around and follow navigation. this is a very helpful thing for everyone to know.

the public services would need to train people these type of things because all the services will need good navigation skills and will help them when they need to track something down or someone and help them with getting to places they need to get to quick.

Climbing outdoors can be one of the most thrilling and satisfying forms of climbing, combining the gymnastic styles of indoor climbing with being outside in the great outdoors, close to nature and sometimes in adventurous environments. This would help people wanting to be in public services because there will be situations where they will need someone with these skills and experience to help or save someone.

The Police, fire and army services would do these types off activities to train there recruits how to climb if there's ever a rescue situation and other things to help.

Exploration of caves takes us into a world much different from that above ground, a world of darkness surrounded by rock and mud. Exotic formations, streams and waterfalls, tight crawlways, deep canyons and pits, huge rooms with large blocks of breakdown, crickets, bats and cave rats await the cave explorer.

Climbing snowdon

When you come to climbing/walking up Snowdon you need the right equipment to use and wear to help you get to the summit. when it comes to buying equipment it doesn't have to be the most expensive, or the best. you just need to get the right things to keep you warm and safe. The equipment you will need is things like walking boots that are sturdy, joggers or tracky bottoms, or walking pants and cargo pants. you can wear a thermal top or some thing layer tops. you will need to make sure you stay warm and use the layer system where you put different layers on. there's different types of layers you need. The weather could change in a second when you are up there and you will need to bring some spare water proofs so you can put them on when you get cold. you'll also need to bring plenty of food and drink with you otherwise you will run out of energy quick and will need t have more breaks coming up the mountain. you'll need to take a hat and gloves with you and any extra gear you choose to take with you. there will be almost 0 visibility when the clouds drop so if you are in a big or small group you will need to be close together and make sure everyone stays in line of slight. I wouldn't recommend doing this walk/climb on your own because if something happens whilst your up there, there wont be anyone there to help you or give you aid so I suggest you take a small group with you on this walk.

Why would this be useful for public services?
this would help because it increases your teamwork skills and leadership skills helping people climb snow don

we had to check for health and safety risks whilst doing this task because if we didn't a lot could go wrong. the people leading the activity will have to do a risk assessment to see if theirs any hazards that might happen or already be on the path we are taking.
