Total Physical Response (TPR)

This strategy/idea/concept is basically a way of teaching students who need ESL programs with physical responses. What happens in TPR is teachers will give the students instructions in English to their ESL students, and the students will respond by acting out the correct actions.

Cooperative Learning

This strategy/idea/concept is a way for ESL students to work together on tasks or assignments in a small group. Cooperative learning activities give ESL students the chance to work together, communicate, and solve problems.

Content-Based Instruction (CBI)

For this strategy/idea/concept, it's a way for ESL students to focus on, pictures or content, rather than the language. Teachers in ESL programs give academic materials that are helpful for students' interests while also teaching English through the use of CBI.

Language Learning Strategies

Lastly, for this strategy/idea/concept, it offers students with ESL different styles of techniques for learning the language. Using context clues, inferring meaning from context, creating connections, and self-monitoring are just a few of the language acquisition techniques that teachers actively teach their ESL students.
