The painting "street scene" is by Charlotte Maloney, painted in 1988. She used 3 canvases to make up her painting. The painting is an acrylic painting that has a lot of vivid colors including, blue, green, orange, red, and yellow. There are a lot of curvy lines, which includes the roof, and the branches on the tree. The use of colors made the piece feel very fresh as if the kids were really playing outside. I feel the painting is about a family-oriented neighborhood and what the children do for fun. Which includes, playing basketball, walking a dog, and a child riding their bike. This painting reminds me of my childhood and what the children in my neighborhood did, which was having a fun time playing outside. I really enjoyed this painting and would have it framed in my home.

"Street Scene" by Charlotte Maloney is set in early evening primarily using red, yellow and blue acrylic to depict a vibrant Florida sunset. The colors are balanced and the action is in rhythm from kids playing basketball to dog's being walked. I think the artist is saying to the audience we need to go outside more. This is a fun piece with the artist showing she doesn't have much care for boundaries. This scene reminds me of an early evening I would have after school in the cul-de-sac I grew up in. Whether it was playing basketball, riding my bike or playing fetch with my dog if it was a beautiful day like in this scene I'd be like one of these figures in this painting.

This has a combination of organic and geometric shapes leaning towards geometric side. The artist uses harder, thicker and straighter lines due to the artists diesire to recreate cubism. When it comes to value, the artist chose lighter warmer colors to contribute toward the overall uplifting theme of this painting as you can neighbors go throughout regular suburban

Acrylic on convas art titled "Street scene" by Artist Charlotte M. The artist uses 3 panels that line up together. She did not want to be realistic and used vibrate colors rather than mixed colors. The art is a typical Florida street scene in an early evening. The artist takes the spectators in the picture with her by showing what would be like an afternoon in her neighborhood. It brings joy to the spectator as each panel is its own.

This piece is "Street Scene" by Charlotte Maloney in 1988. Made with acrylic paint using only 3 primary colors red, yellow and blue. The artist only 3 colors is unique and beautiful. The piece is simple yet complex because the people and animals seems as though they are in motion. The painting being on three panels is also an interesting thing because you could look at each panel individually or combine.

This piece is very beautiful. I think it shows a warm summer evening, with children playing and adults are walking their dogs and comforting their babies. Even though it was painted in 1988 in 2017 it still has relevance. The artist used curvy lines to show motion and creates shadows to add value to the painting. Interestingly the artist stretched canvas and used three different canvas but still unifies the picture to be view at one. I noticed a difference in each of the pieces, in the first piece there are boys playing, in the second piece adults are doing their evening duties, and in the third girls are jump roping and there is a cat running.

There is also a unified look to this painting with the way that all the neighbors are playing together and riding bikes outside. This painting shows unity and peace. There are also many shapes including rectangles. It is a typical Florida neighborhood during the sunset. The canvases were handmade. Created about 30 years ago and is in the FAU library. This is a beautiful piece of work.

This pice named the "street scene" was done by the artis Maloney in 1988.
In which she shows her soul or the dream place where to live, She try's to scape in to a place where there are no problems to be worried about, making sure that in the process she will be forgetting a reality in which kids don't play outside and adults are to busy with the hustle of their life.
The color fighting gives you a warm felling of home sickness and the sensational idea of a utopia.
The more you see the painting the more you notice that the main idea of the painter wasn't to impress the reality but to make you feel her reality with thick and thin lines; the "street scene" is truly a magnificent pice in whitch we can all identify with.

The variety of it is nicely executed, horizonal lines and color combined to make a striking scene. To me it seems that it is after dinner and school, the children are out playing before bed and it gives off a serene vibe.

The Street Scene was created by artist Charlotte Maloney, she built the wooden, hand-made stretchers and she used acrylics on her canvas to create her artwork. She used a variety of bright colors to highlight the energetic essence and liveliness of a happy family enjoying the outdoors. The shapes include, circles, human figures, small animal figures, and straight lines for creating houses and roads. The human figures differ in size to differentiate children from parents and other adults. The unity and emphasis are encompassed by the activities the people are performing, happily and joyfully. As I said previously, the artist created motion by the people's activities. Overall, the painting exerts happiness as the people are outside and together in a harmonious and peaceful environment.

"Street Scene" by Charlotte Maloney, painted in 1988. This acrylic painting is a three piece panel. This painting shows a spectator view that involves various outdoor activities such as people walking their dog and riding their bike, taking place on a street in a Florida neighborhood. The artist uses straight and curvy rough sketchy lines. This painting involves the use of harmonious colors. The painting also is proportional and uses geometric shapes to show the setting. I feel like the artist is saying this is what I love about my home. This paper reminds me of my days when I was child playing with the neighbors in my neighborhood in Miami.

I really enjoy how the artist makes the three separate panels one continuous painting and gives the viewer a panoramic view of a place the resembles home.

Nicole Abbasi

This piece is called "Street Scene" by Charlotte Maloney, painted in 1988. This painting is acrylic on canvas and is a three canvas piece measuring nine feet by six feet. This small scale painting is of a street scene with many people doing various things on a colorful background. Some of the people in the painting are doing things such as riding a bike, jumping rope, and walking their dog. The artist uses straight and curvy rough sketchy lines, as well as multiple vivid colors on a sunset background. The curved lines create a calming effect in conjunction with the rough sketchy lines, giving the piece a sense of movement and freedom. There are a variety of harmonious colors, most colors being fairly saturated. This painting also gives a sense of depth, as it was painted in a three dimensional manner. The artist created the illusion of light by making the backdrop a sunset. In my opinion the balance in this painting is harmonious; the colors and shapes all working in unison. This piece also creates a sense of locomotion and is proportional. The focus of this work are the people outside. I think the artist painted in the realm of cubism with the use of her hard lines. I think the artist was going for a light, fun, and airy piece. I personally enjoyed the work, my favorite aspects being the style and use of colors. This piece gives a calming and happy effect. I think that this is a successful piece of art, and the artist expressed exactly what she meant to. I believe the artist also used her tools and techniques very well.

"Street Scene" by Charlotte Maloney, was painted in 1988. Painted on three three individual panels, the artist immediately displays the uniqueness. The vibrant colors throughout the painting catch the eye at first sight. With symmetry portrayed by the vertical lines of the houses, the grass, and the roads, the painting looks very professional. She also use the shape element multiple times in the art. The artist is trying to demonstrate the idea neighborhood in which she lives in or would like to; a well rounded and interactive community. Overall the artist did a phenomenal job creating and explaining the true meaning of the work.

"Street Scene" by Charlotete Maloney was painted on three 9x6 canvas with acrylic paints, which expands the vision of the artist talent. Using briliant almost pshycadelic colors and motion in the paintings like kids playing ball, people riding bicycles, kids jumping rope, makes the viewer feel like the painting is alive with motion. It feels like the artist is trying to share the night life and whith the blends of colors and the action in the painting. The fact the the artist used three panels I think was genius giving a two demention painting a three demensional feeling. Rough, sketchy lines create a sense of movement and freedom, while smooth, solid lines feel more still and carefully planned.

Overal the painting is unique and full of life and color.🎨🥇

"Street Scene," a piece of artwork done by Charlotte Maloney, is a painting about her old neighborhood. Painted a while back, the characters in the busy street depict the once life-filled neighborhood. Maloney paints with an expressionist style, going for a more thought provoking painting. Although warm and cool colors were used, mostly warm colors covered the painting to promote a moving scene, while also depicting a sun set.

As seen Ms. Maloney used many elements and principals; I personally see elements of color, texture, and value and the principals of unity, rhythm & movement. With all the colors used and after hearing the creator talk about her piece, I've realized that this was probably a happy time were the community was connected and able to play together. Were as now everyone that now lives in her neighborhood is distant and to themselves.
