I learned that me and my character are very similar when we have to handle problems. I like to suck things up to protect me or other people. But my character Annemarie, likes to protect others as well but doesn’t suck it up, she speaks her mind.

I learned that my charcter can get lost and feel a lot of pressure and anxiety in troublesome situations. For example when a fifth year student at Hideki’s former school blew up a bomb and the war started, Hideki froze and felt a rush of anxiety .I can connect my life to this story because I also feel under pressure sometimes, like in a close basketball game with only a few seconds left.

Francisca is the main character in my story, and she is torn between the loyalist ma’am that she is, being high on society, or committing espionage against Britain, aiding the patriots. She wants to help the patriots because through many acts she has interpreted the king as similar to Sewel, who is her previous “father” or is most likely going to kill her if he sees her once again. There’s many times in my life that I was indecisive, and sometimes didn’t think things through before making choices. Although Francisca didn’t know the ship she was on had set its course to the colonies, into war. But she prepared herself, and formulated a plan. I think I could do that, considering what actions I need to lay out, for appropriate situations. Francisca’s way of handling arising problems is truly a useful way of life, and thinking back, I wish some problems were dealt with differently.
