The last time I connected with a neighbor was on a quiet evening, I heard a knock on my door. My next door neighbor, whom I had never talked to, brought me some home cooked meal. Him mother was visiting and cooked for him. They thought it would be nice to share the food and that prompted us to chat. I learned that he is an international student, studying medicine in our university. It was lovely and such beautiful gesture, connection through food

The last time I interacted with someone in my neighbourhood was yesterday when the concierge in my building reminded me of the crazy weather today and asked me to just stay inside uni instead of running around outside. He is the closest connection I have within my neighbourhood.

I was walking my dog along my street and along came an older lady walking her dog. Of course our dogs wanted to say hello to each other for a few minutes so it gave us a chance to say hi to each other, complement each others dogs and wish each other a good day

Had a free dinner in my student apartment

Im living in a student apartment where they provide free food every Thursday evening. Last week I went to the food night and talked with 2 new friends I just made and we had a great time. The happiest part is that the dinner is completely free!

last week walking home from the bus stop i ran into my neighbour walking his dogs and he asked if i was studying law and needed any books, i told him i wasn't and told him about what i was studying and working and he was telling me about both his children studying law and it was nice to have learnt about each other's lives as we don't talk too often and it gave me more insight into his life

I was walking my dog down my street when a bunch of kids yelled out my dog’s name and approached us to play with her. I found out later that they knew my mum and always saw her walking my dog and they knew who I was because my mum had talked about me. It was a funny experience

My neighbors will always change because my flat is a social student flat. My first neighbor was a young lady from Denmark who would greet me in a friendly way, and I learned that she was here on exchange at the University of Sydney. During our time as neighbors, her sister and brother would also come over from time to time to keep her company, and they were all very friendly!
