         <title>Ch.11 Science in the </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This chapter describes a science teacher changing her schools curriculum with the use of the Cloud. This district had not been able to buy new textbooks in many years and with a new Common Core curriculum being instituted, the teacher had to come up with a new plan. After attending a workshop, the teacher was introduced to a new resource, Cloud based data.&nbsp;<br><br>After completing the workshop and doing research on her own, the teacher realized that a curriculum with resources based in the Cloud would be the best way to bring relevant information to students. She then spent the next few weeks researching and collaborating with coworkers to choose the best source to share data with students. The faculty chose Dropbox which allowed the teachers and students to interact and share documents online instead of using textbooks and worksheets.&nbsp;<br><br>After using Dropbox and teaching with resources based in the Cloud, the teacher were pleased with the amount of critical thinking and in depth knowledge they were able to teach. This resource allowed students to access knowledge outside of the ordinary class and also allowed students and teachers to collaborate with one another. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Google Classroom</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My learning organization was introduced to Google Classroom almost three years ago. This resource offers a free tool to deliver posts, assignments, and questions to students. Teachers can grade assignments and return them using this tool. <br><br>Google Classroom allows teachers to teach outside of the box. Instead of reading from a text, teachers can assign an article to read with questions/discussion that follow. <br><br>This resource is very familiar to Dropbox, but is free and compatible with all school Gmail accounts. Classroom is capable of making a teachers day completely paperless, and I have found that it is a great tool when teachers and students are absent because they are able to access their assignments and information online. <br><br>For example, I can assign a reading from digitalhistory.org for students to read. After, I can request that students answer a critical thinking question and collaborate on the stream with their classmates. </div>]]></description>
