Wanted: Equal rights for children, specifically girls, in education

But: She was stopped by two members of the Taliban on the way home from school and shot at three times when the learned who she was. 

So: She made her voice even louder, she wrote a book titled “I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban,” and started the Malala Fund an organization that, through education, empowers girls to achieve their potential and become confident and strong leaders in their own countries.

Each student will write about the story and create a piece of art that represent the human right being violated to add to the quilt. After the quilt is completed students will share their stories and their school and community to help bring awareness and change.
