MLK states the four nonviolent steps to serve injustices, steps in which involved the courts that served the Negro community with no justice and only escalated to corruption. The treatment that Negros faces in the courts were unmeasurable and disgusting. It lead to the destruction of many home and churches. The Negros fought in the court but it only brought them out to the streets (MLK 282-283).

MLK rebuttals this argument by making the claim that him and his people have so desire to obey the law or those in control. The unserb decisions proclaiming segregation in public schools cause the Negros to rather break the law then ever civiley obey it. The laws that are in place fall into two categories, "just and unjust". MLK will proudly obey those that are just but it is responsibility to not follow laws that are unjust (MLK 285).

Just as Paul lead the word of Christ, MLK is leading his people to justice and responding to the corruption in seeking for help and change. As compared to Paul, MLK's leadership is firm in responding to such vicious action. He's only fighting for his people (MLK 282). MLK responds to the "untimely" actions, as the ministers call, with turing all that has taken place in Birmingham to the leaders of the town. The segregation that Boutwell brought to the community is responsible for the legal and nonviolent protest the Negros brought about (284).

MLK refutes this statement by first agreeing with the ministers. The police are exercising discipline in what has been taking place. Although they are demonstrating themselves with nonviolence, it is only in the public. The police still hold an evil spirit of segregation. (MLK 293). How are the Negros expected to obey those in charge if they have no respect for all in which they serve?
