If you say that girls are socialized as "ornaments" then you are saying they are dainty and fragile. Maybe saying that we don't really have a "purpose" since we are just decoration. We are pretty much used just for looks and appeal to the eye. Men, on the other hand, are socialized into their bodies as "instruments". Meaning that they can be used for many different things. They are the ones that can actual make or do things. When the girls were asked to "run like a girl", the older girls ran like they were weak and prissy but the younger girls ran fast and aggressive. I think many girls as we get older mold to this perception that saying "like a girl" is weak.
