Action Plan: Use what I have gained from the readings to then reflect what I need to do in my classroom as a writing teacher. Determine how I will use their writer’s notebook in the beginning of the year and throughout the entire year. 

Evidence: Students will use their writer’s notebook at the beginning of the year. To do this I will have students making lists of ideas, for example things that they like, interested in, good at, bad at, etc. Students will then take these ideas and have the opportunity to write about what they want and how they want during the writer's workshop. 

Action Plan: I will learn about different mini lessons and ideas through all genres of writing through my classmates mentor text lessons and the different reading we have done.

Evidence: I have found more books to use in the classroom and learned the importance of showing the students writing craft as an example to then have them write using that skill. Through these mini lessons having students practice the skill in something they have already written or have them write something new.
