Your parents considered you as a child but in my mind, I feel like I'm a adult because of my age. For example some rules/regulations that some parents wants teenagers to follow is: Have manners and respect to elders and others, and Don't come home late.
Parents wants their children to have manners because it is an important part of raising your child and teaching them good manners that they are able to apply and act not only around you, but also when they are on their own. Being polite can set your child up for success later in life. Parents don't want their children to come home late because some believe that most crimes happen at night time and doesn't want their children to be witness or involve in the incident. Most criminal activity happen from people who don't respect others and follow rules.
The best of being a teenager now for me is not having my mom to worry about me anymore meaning I'm at a age where i can make my own decisions and do what i wish to do. Not having my mother on my tail all the time and be free because I'm soon to be an adult.
