1->Daily Comprehension Checks: Usually this is done in a spiral notebook. Each day the teacher will add a short passage to the white board or dry erase board. For example;
"Today, Amber's class is learning about the life cycle of a flower. First, you plant the seed. Then, after watering and sunlight the seed begins to sprout. Next, the plant turns into a sprout. Finally, the sprout turns into a beautiful flower." After the students read the lesson there will be a couple comprehension questions to ensure the students understood the passage. These questions can be: What is the class learning about? How many steps are in flower cycle? What is the first step in the cycle? What is the last step in the cycle? The teacher can add however many questions in the daily comprehension checks.

2-> Comprehension Dice Game 1-6: First the class will read a story together. Then there will be a 6 sided dice. Each student will take a turn rolling the dice and answering the question that is on the number they rolled. There are multiple different questions the teacher can ask. Some examples are: if they roll a 1 When does the story take place? 2 Who are the main characters? 3 How many characters are there? 4 Where is the story located? 5 How does the story end? 6 How does the story start? 7 Is there a problem or conflict in this story? 8 How did they come up with a solution to fix the problem? 9 Can you create a different ending for this story? 10 What was your favorite part of this story?
