SMART GOALS

S- My goals in math this term are to learn new things, fix my study habits and make sure i do well on quizzes and long tests.

M- I will keep track of my progress by managing my workload and identifying what topics I am struggling with.

A- I plan to achieve these goals by doing practice problems and consulting with classmates, teachers and tutors. My mom helps me a lot when it comes to math but often I try to do it myself such as by watching youtube videos.

R- These goals are important to me because they will help me pass and make it to Senior High School.

T- I will most likely achieve these goals by almost the end of the school year.

MSICONCEPTION/EUREKA: CIRCLES

A misconception I had in the 3rd term was circles, specifically identifying what type of triangle or circle is in the given problem and knowing its conjectures. Although it may seem easy it requires a lot of logic and analogy on what to do with the given situation. I learned about this misconception when our teacher introduced it to us in the first session. This was a misconception/eureka for me because I always get confused about the type of triangle inside the circle and whether sometimes the given problem may or may not have a right angle as it wasn't marked as one. One way I was able to tackle this solution was by asking help from Youtube videos, my tutor, and sometimes my teacher.

MOST CHALLENGING TASK/CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING: PROBABILITY

Probability was one of the tasks/lessons I found a bit challenging as it required a bit of logic to it. I found it a bit challenging and confusing because I couldn't really make of what the problems were sometimes given and I usually only understood it when it didn't look or sound complicated luckily I had help when I would always get confused in this with the help of my tutor.

COLLABORATIVE WORKS

I counted these as one of my collaborative works because this was when me and my friends would go to the MST and do the activities. My most memorable activity was the longest pi and beat the teacher, longest pi was one of my most memorable because it challenged me to memorize how long I can recite the pi. Beat the teacher was also one of my most memorable because it was a bit competitive and fun at the same time whenever you are doing it with your classmates and friends.

These are what I considered my best works because these were where I felt I put most of my effort, especially the equation of a circle, I was able to overcome the challenge of these lessons by asking for help from my tutor and classmates. One of my best works which is not included in the picture was the cerebry assignments because it also shows much of the effort I tried to put in whenever sometimes I would get annoyed by the point system, in the end, I felt that these things really helped me grow as a person and become more responsible and know how to set my priorities.
