Here we are, like every august 8th (and eyery year you become more like an old wise man, without a beard though), sharing our thoughts, birthday wishes and gratitude... we came up with the idea of putting them together in this showcase that comes from your Italian fans, who love you so much.
Again this year we want to thank you for being the soundtrack of our days, of our dinners on the beach, of all those moments we cried and laughed.
You, who started so recently (we still remember your old hairstyles) and reached our hearts with the help of just your voice and a guitar. You, who held out his hand through the darkness and promised us that, with you, things would get better.
We thank you for helping us grow, mature and find our path in life.
You taught us how to love ourselves and our imperfections, to treat people with kindness and always help others.
So we wish a happy birthday to the person who made us who we are, who enables us to break down the distance and build marvelous friendships, who inspired us to raise funds in order to make our world a bit happier.
We wish the best to this person so dear to us, who we've been supporting for years and who we've always seen as a role model.

Boh volevo dire che il signorino Mendes mi ha aiutato in un periodo in cui non stavo proprio benissimo,ora mi sto distaccando un pochino da lui,ma giuro che piano piano ricomincio ad ascoltarlo e piangere come una disperata,come ai vecchi tempi.Tengo troppo a lui e non riuscirei ad abbandonarlo così,dopotutto è stato una parte fondamentale della mia vita e lo sarà per sempre.Tra poche ore fa 22 anni e sono così orgogliosa di lui,merita il meglio.È un angioletto,così buono con tutti,ha un cuore enorme e pieno di amore.In questo momento ho tantissimo bisogno di abbracciarlo e dirgli quanto io gli sia grata,ma mi limito a scrivere qui ciò che penso,sapendo che non gli arriverà mai rip.Nulla aspetto un feat con i one direction appena porranno fine a questa pausa eterna(perché sì,succederà).Gli auguro di passare la giornata del suo compleanno nel migliore dei modi,perché se lo merita:) 💗

Quando si tratta del tuo compleanno provo sempre quel mix di emozioni che mi destabilizzano ma rendono felice allo stesso tempo. Sembra ieri che mi meravigliavo dopo aver letto che avevi solo 19 anni e stavi per lanciare il tuo terzo album di debutto. Sei sempre stato forte e determinato nonostante le persone hanno sempre provato ad abbatterti. Ma tu ce lhai fatta lo stesso. Ti sei aggrappato alle persone a te vicine, ti sei rifugiato nella tua musica, nei tuoi fan ma soprattutto hai lottato per te stesso. Non ti fare mai mettere i piedi in testa da altre persone. I‘ve written and deleted this letter at least 40 times.
You know it's hard to write anything to thank you for everything you do for all of us.
I started listening to you from the first song "somenting big" and you immediately entered my heart.
I went to do a lot of research to know your name and when I found out it was you I started following you and I never stopped.
You know I still remember those days, where I was super happy to have "discovered" someone who could understand me so well and that at the same time could make me happy.
I wanted to say thank you for all the times no one came to me, but you understood me. Thank you for being my best friend and still being so. You grow up, you get bigger and bigger, and it's hard to stay yourself in this evil world. But with your music you were able not only to drive away demons inside me, but you made me much stronger and prevented other external factors from knocking me down.
Needless to say, you're my idol, because to be someone's idol you don't just have to be good at what you do, but you also have to teach and show that in addition to being a famous singer you are also a human being like all of us.

Well, I don't know how to explain how much you mean to me.

I’ve had a hard past, and I don't wish it to anyone else.

Whenever I was feeling low, lost and I was giving up, you were there to make me realize it wasn't the right thing to do.

Ogni volta che mi metto a scriverti qualcosa st lì a premere la tastiera all'infinito ed il tempo scorre così velocemente che nemmeno me ne accorgo. Ogni volta c'è sempre qualcosa di nuovo o diverso che voglio dirti ed ogni volta però il mio sorriso è sempre lì ,pronto a spuntarmi perché tu si ,mi fai sorridere ,tanto, mi fai sentire bene e non so quale possa essere il meccanismo congeniale così strano che riesce a permettere tutto ciò so solo che la gratitudine che provo nei tuoi confronti è indescrivibile.

Happy birthday shawnie, we love you so much, thank you for being an amazing person that ispires me/us everyday. I know you since the start of everything and i’m so proud of you and of what you did in these years. Now you’re 22 and omg you are growing up so fast but you’re always the boy with such an amazing talent, personality and of course beauty lol. I thank your parents made you and I thank you because without you, me and lot of people won’t be who are now.
