Stargirl is a new kid at a new school, she has barely any social skills in highschool because she was homeschooled all of her life up until now. Everyone would think she would be shy and quiet but in reality she was the most out going person ever who didnt care what people thought of her. Leo is a teenager that also goes to Stargirl's highschool but he secretly has a crush on Stargirl and we recently found out she does too! I predict that this book will be about their love journey and that they will be getting closer throughout the book.

I have found that mostly so far in the book that everyone is amazed at Stargirl who is new because she is very bold. Everyone ends up later in chapter 2-3 they start to ask themselves if she is actually real or not. I think that it is good to be bold because that means shes no afraid to be herself in ways she wants to.

Throughout the book so far I've noticed that Hillari is the 'popular girl' in the school. I think that when Stargirl started school since people gave her so much attention Hillari didn't like it. I believe that she likes a lot of the attention to be on her. That is why she is dating Wayne Parr and why she came up with the theory that Stargirl was a fake so Stargirl would be ignored and the attention would return to her. I think that this is also why Hillari told Stargirl to not sing happy birthday to her so she could stand out.

I predict that Hillari is going to go out of her way to get revenge on Stargirl because she embarrassed Hillari in front of the whole lunchroom. In chapter 6 Hillari's birthday was coming up and she demanded that Stargirl not sing happy birthday to her. Hillari thought that she would listen making her superior to Stargirl so then the attention would be on her again. Since Stargirl basically embarrassed Hillari in front of the whole school/grade Hillari stormed off out of the cafeteria. I think that Hillari will be very mad and this is just one of the reasons she wants to get revenge on Stargirl.

Horror! The one word I would use to describe this page is horror because everyone blank stared at Hillari holding the rat dangling off of the stairs. Stargirl was to stunnded to speak, everyone was to stunned to speak. Ever since this event I believe that shes going to try to ruin Stargirls life but everyone will come together to help Stargirl because she is so popular now

From what I have read about Hillari, she seems to very much dislike Stargirl, with her making rude comments on her in club meetings. I think that Hillari is quite jealous of Stargirl due to Hillari thinking that Stargirl is or will become more popular than Hillari so Hillari has been going out of her way to torment Stargirl and I think it will only get worse and might affect how the other students think of Stargirl and how they cat around her but it could also lead to Hillari getting negative backlash as well^.

From what we've seen from Leo's behavior when ever Stargirl is brought up, i think that Leo may have a crush on her, with him not wanting to exploit her on him and his friends show, Hot seat and him defending her.

"The Pledge of Allegiance, the Grisdale funeral, the Danny Pike affair--these things were all noted, but they had no immediate impact on Stargirl's popularity in school" (Spinelli Pg 47) I have theory on who put all of these things that turned up on the plywood roadrunner. In one of my past padlets I talked about Hillari and how she wants all the attention on her. I also predicted that she would want to get revenge on Stargirl for embarrassing her in front of the the whole school. I think that slowly she is finding all the dirt that she can dig up on Stargirl and putting it where everyone will see. Though it has had no impact yet I think people will slowly start to not like Stargirl because of these things that are getting posted.

Since Stargirl came to Mica High I have noticed that she is starting to help the school have more individuality. In the text it states "Kids whose voices had never been heard before spoke up... More than a hundred students tried out for the Spring Revue. One kid started a camera club. Another wore hush puppies instead of sneakers... A boy showed up with purple hair" (Spinelli pg 40-41) Stargirl helped people reveal their true selves to the school. Some people in Mica High have been to scared to step out of line and do something different. Now that Stargirl is there and doing all sorts of weird stuff they feel like they can.

in this page I have noticed that the Basketball team and cheerleaders don't like Stargirl. I say this because after a game away they lied saying they left something in the locker room and left her behind for a 2 hour ride back. They faked a sorry the next day and Stargirl believed them.

Everyone who has ever met Stargirl would say shes weird and many other things but one thing they never mention is that she is the most caring person ever. She cares about everyones feelings before her own. She is a cheerleader for Mica High School but during the Red Rock game she left midway and no one knew why, we later found out she was talking to the schools busdriver. I think its amazing she was talking to them because bus drivers do a lot for us but we never appreciate them. But anyways Stargirl was being so nice and for that the basketball team and cheerleaders left her at Red Rock which is far away from their school. Even after that she still accepted the fake apology they gave her.

Stargirl likes to change her name because she feels that she can outgrow her name sop she changes it. She has had many names like Pocket mouse,Hullygully, and Mudpie. She is now Named Stargirl because she was walking in the desert looking up in the sky and chose that name.

I feel that since Stargirl has been at her new school her actions have made a impact on the school in many ways. They like her and dont and the only reason they dont like her is because she dresses and acts different from everyone else which people like but dont. I think throughout the book we will find that Stargirl has many ups and downs in her new school.

"and right there in the middle of it all, in the midst of this perfect season mania, was Stargirl, popping up whenever the ball went through the net, no matter what team scored... Then came the boos. She didn't seem to notice" (Spinelli pg 52) I think that Stargirl just tries to make everyone feel like they matter and have a place in their towns and schools. This is why she cheers for both teams. Since Mica High now will not have it if their team loses, they start to boo Stargirl. I wonder why she doesn't care? I think she just wants to be herself and make people happy. I predict that people will start to dislike Stargirl a lot more because of this...
