A Speakeasy was an illicit establishment that sold alcohol beverages but said they were selling coffee. Speakeasies became much more popular as the Prohibition years passed. The Speakeasies had two important places and they were in Chicago and in New York. Also, the Speakeasies was a popular act and did allow a lot of more people to be happy.
