Alors qu'il s'inquiète de sa situation difficile, il est approché par le petit prince, un petit garçon blond très sérieux qui demande au narrateur de lui dessiner un mouton. Le narrateur oblige et les deux deviennent amis. Le pilote apprend que le petit prince vient d’une petite planète qu’il appelle l’astéroïde 325 mais que les habitants de la Terre appellent l’astéroïde B-612. Le petit prince a pris grand soin de la planète en empêchant toute mauvaise graine de pousser et en veillant à ce qu’elle ne soit jamais envahie par les baobabs. Un jour, une mystérieuse rose a germé sur la planète et le petit prince en est tombé amoureux. Mais quand il a attrapé la rose dans un mensonge, il a décidé qu'il ne pouvait plus lui faire confiance. Il se sentit seul et décida de partir. Malgré une réconciliation de dernière minute avec la rose, le prince entreprit d'explorer d'autres planètes et de guérir sa solitude.</pre><div><br><br></div><pre>An airplane pilot crashes into the Sahara desert. The accident seriously damages his plane and leaves very little food or water to the narrator. While he is worried about his difficult situation, he is approached by the little prince, a very serious blond boy who asks the narrator to draw him a sheep. The narrator obliges and the two become friends. The pilot learns that the little prince comes from a small planet that he calls the asteroid 325 but that the inhabitants of the Earth call the asteroid B-612. The little prince took great care of the planet by preventing any bad seed from growing and making sure that it was never invaded by baobabs. One day, a mysterious rose sprouted on the planet and the little prince fell in love with it. But when he caught the rose in a lie, he decided he could not trust him anymore. He felt lonely and decided to leave.
