Hello ! Goodluck sa Senior Journey niyo ! Only thing to remember is to always prioritize yourself first especially your health. Also, I would like to highlight rin yung be at your own pace. May ibang mabibilis talaga when it comes to their progress, while other may have it slow. The important thing is that you have everything under your control and under your vision. A progress is still a progress; no matter how big or small it is. It is undeniable na overwhelming sa start pero let us just keep our heads up and always exert our best. I think what does not kill us makes us stronger talaga. Yun lang, goodluck ! see you soon, if may chance man!

You got this!

If you struggle with lots of pressure, I want to tell you that you shouldn’t try to conform with the society’s unrealistic expectations.

Hello! You’re obviously looking forward to spending your senior high years as a Thomasian, though I wouldn’t blame you if you’re beginning to have doubts when it comes to dealing with the academic rigor of UST SHS. I’m pretty certain you’ve heard all kinds of stories about UST SHS, but don’t stress yourself out too much; Make sure to make really trustworthy friends and join orgs you’re truly interested in. When applying for an executive position, make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. Additionally, make friends with seniors and you’ll be surprised when they offer to lend you their notes :) don’t procrastinate and jot down an organized schedule to ease things up.

Hellaur !! congrats so much ~

Perhaps everything might be very new and confusing to you lalong lalo na’t new sets of EVERYTHING talaga siya but remember na you’ll overcome it! Do not be scared to try new things — new organizations to join, new circle of friends, new study habit, and even new crushes EME.

Ang masasabi ko lang in terms of academics, FOCUS. It doesn’t mean na aral lang nang aral but focus on your goals na naka-set for the academic year and focus sa mga discussions kahit mahirap. You can use books na available sayo and even youtube videos para ma-widen ang kaalaman mo about a certain topic/subject na nahihirapan ka, sobrang helpful yon! Write your notes din during discussions para ma-retain yung naturo. Do not hesitate rin to ask help (and notes if possible) sa blockmates mo because additional notes help! Remember to find good set of friends din na makahehelp sayo to grow during your SHS days, makahehelp sayo to understand new topics, and syempre good memories to cherish. Huwag din kalimutan mag rest dahil important yon, always listen to your bodyyy !!

In terms of PeTas and activities, if nabigay na sainyo, if kaya na gawin agad, gawin naaa since ma-foresee mo na sunod-sunod na ang ganap sa life kaya ayon para di ka tambak. Also do your best talaga in submitting on time!

At the end of this academic year, makikita niyo na naovercome niyo na yung mga overwhelming nung start na AY !! <33

Nandito lang kaming mga seniors to help you lalo na if you have questions ! Hehe wag kayo mahiya :P

Ayun lang, enjoy your time here sa UST. Make the best out of it ⁉️ take care; see you around UST, tiger.

Hi, Ka-Trese! First of all, congratulations on being admitted to UST-SHS! Moving to a new environment can be a bit scary, but you've got nothing to be afraid of. There are a lot of people going into senior high school for the first time, just like you.

Everyone will tell you to study and work hard. Yes, you should definitely do that but also remember to explore who you are and who you want to become. Get to know individuals in the community and join organizations that will hone your skills. Spend time talking and sharing perspectives. Make the most of this opportunity to create and shape the future "you"!

While academics can be overwhelming, don't forget to keep balance. Be kind to yourself and take breaks when needed. Many challenges are coming, but I know you can handle them all! Reach out to your seniors if you ever have a question.

I wish you the best of luck and congratulations once again! <3

I just wanna ask kung handa na ba kau???????? CHAROT

First of all, I want to say congratulations for being accepted into UST at isa ka na ngayong Ka-Trese! 🤍 In my experience, professors are very kind and understanding, but you must always give your best. You don’t have to go big all the time. You can pause and do things at your own pace, but remember that they won’t always wait for you. Set your goals little by little, baby steps. In the event that you feel burned out, don’t pressure yourself to do more. Magpahinga ka at hindi ka robot (dont be hard on yourself) 🤍 For the lessons, more advanced reading is required, particularly in biology because bobo aq mga siz mars HAHAAHA but ayun pag hindi keri bumawi kayo sa ibang subjects!

Hi! The school year is starting and for better or for worse, you're stuck with UST. If you've seen any of those negative posts on how "bad" UST is, well, they aren't completely wrong. But last year, I was in your position as well, worried about how I was going to do well in class. I only had those posts to lean on because I was a transferee, but we're here to give advice on how to do well this year! Don't worry Ka-Trese, kayang kaya mo to!

1. Teamwork
"If you're not a good shot today, don't worry, there are other ways to be useful." I cannot stress enough how important it is to surround yourself with your classmates. If you're the shy type na nahihirapan lumapit sa classmates, make at least one class or strand friend, you can study with. It really helps a lot especially before quizzes, if you have someone you can review and ask questions. And in class, if you miss something you can always ask them.

2. Teachers
There are a lot of terror professors in UST, and sometimes you aren't able to learn the full subject from their class alone. How I coped with it, is I reviewed the lesson with friends and used the book as my main resource, since my lessons in class were lacking. PLEASE BUY THE PHYSICAL BOOKS IF YOU CAN. They are way easier to read than the E-books and are more convenient to access. Being able to read the books assigned to the course will be more than able to compensate if you have a terror prof. While it's the first week/month of class, please try finding the physical books assigned to your subject, it really goes a long way.

3. Mental Health
You will get burned out sooner or later, but as much as possible you can avoid this. The way UST works (in my opinion/experience) is that they like to stack projects together, so that if you want to start or finish all of them at once, you will feel overwhelmed. The final term projects or PETAs always have the same deadline, which is why it's important to balance your time, and make sure you're not overloading yourself with too many things to do, at a short amount of time.

4. Quizzes (Esp Bio)
Don't be surprised when you see an item or items on a test, that you did not study for. The curriculum is really broad which is why the teacher for that subject can't exactly cover everything. Furthermore, the quizzes vary from teacher to teacher, so during the exam, you will find a question that was taught only to one class. It's difficult but, I really think that the books and other resources you can find (notes/lec vids from other classes) is the way to overcome those unexpected questions. Meeting and getting along with other classes will really help!!

5. Goals
If you have a goal, that becomes the reason you wake up for, and you study for. Memorize it, and hold it really closely, because that motivation is what's going to help you the most throughout the school year. Even if you fail or miss a few tests, the drive to keep going will end up helping you get through the year.

You'll start to see that the subjects that were troubling you at the start of the school year, are easy by the end. Trust the process. I believe in you Ka-Trese! We're here for all the moral or academic support, that you need! Send us a message sa gc or even pm, di kami ghouster!!

Good luck, and God Bless!
