Reason: It started off as a small little quote and this kind of introduction makes the story very interesting. It sorta lures the reader in to actually find out what the story means. And it's a little bit of a cliffhanger. :D

It's a very normal story introduction and it doesn't let the reader aka me feel a bit interested in the story.

Reason: The way the author described the character made me imagine what was happening. The author used different ways to make you understand what was happening in the story. From the characters prospective.

Reason: It does not have any introduction on the character. Not enough description on why the character is going to the party. therefore it does not make me want to read it.

Reason: The author used the 'Show Not Tell' method to describe what Kelvin drew on his exercise book and how Kelvin's mother punished him by knocking her knuckles on his head instead of just writing that Kelvin's mother knocked her knuckles on his head.

Reason: It is my favourite as the quote:

'Jobs don't grow on trees'

sounds wise and is also true as many of today's jobs are being replaced by robots and it is becoming increasingly difficult for us to get jobs as the criteria increases. This quote tells us to cherish our jobs and to not recklessly make mistakes, causing us to lose jobs.

Least favourite: 1 \>oThe opening is simply boring and I have completely zero knowledge of what is so interesting about the introduction. I also do not like the drawing itself (haha I know I'm bias towards quotes but I really don't like this opening paragraph). However, though I do not like the opening paragraph, it has good use of show-not-tell
