• Always offer choice in the how a student completes an assignement but be clear with expectations (A student can present information in any way but needs to meet expectations - timelines, oral presentation, journal, art piece, collage, news report etc).
• If class sizes permit, sit down and design the course together ( this works in my current class because it is a booklet based program)
• Offer ongoing feedback, conferencing, assistance, check ins, communication
