We use the passive when we don't know who or what does the action in the sentence, or when that information is less important.
We make the present simple passive with a present simple formof be (am,are,is) and the past participle of the main verb.
EX:
A special type of sand is used to make glass.
Those shoes aren't made of real leather.

After the passive, we can use the preposition by to give information about the agent. The agent is the person or thing that performs the action.
EX:
The best lace is produced by artisans.
Are those woodcarvings made by hand?

Past Simple Passive
We make the past simple passive with a past simple form of be (was, were) and the past participle of the main verb.
EX:
The portrait Olympia was painted by Édouard Manet.
Was that photograph taken by a professional?

Such cloaks and capes were called 'ahu'ula, or "red garments." Across Polynesia the color red was associated with both gods and chiefs. In the Hawaiian Islands, however, yellow feathers became equally valuable, due to their scarcity.  They consisted of olona (Touchardia latifolia) fibre netting made in straight rows, with pieces joined and cut to form the desired shape. Tiny bundles of feathers were attached to the netting in overlapping rows starting at the lower edge. The exterior of this example is covered with red feathers from the 'i'iwi bird (Vestiaria cocchinea), yellow feathers from the 'o'o (Moho nobilis), and black feathers also from the 'o'o.
This small cape has a shaped neckline which would closely fit the wearer. This style of semi-circular cape is considered a later development from the trapezoidal shape. Large numbers of feathered cloaks and capes were given as gifts to the sea captains and their crews who were the earliest European visitors to Hawaii. Some of these attractive items would then have passed into the hands of the wealthy patrons who financed their voyages. It is not known who brought this particular cape to England.

The public believes he was born around 1974/75 in Bristol, England. Banksy is famous for street art, his particular style is a bit unorthadox, wich is very appealing nowadays.
His satirical and subversive street art combines dark humor and graffiti made with a distinct stencil technique. Banksy's art is rather spontaneous, so he often creates something mindblowing, therefore there is no possibility of tracking his artistic developement.
Banksy the self styled British graffiti artist has produced works that have ,over the past few years, been the subject of critical acclaim. Jonathan Jones, popular art critic, hailed Banksy as "the artist of our time".He describes his following as cult like encompassing people from all walks of life ranging from millionaire bankers to young book buyers. From the way he carries out his work, Jones labels Banksy a guerilla conceptualist whose humor works effectively both in the streets and in galleries.
Banksy didn't win any awards due to his art, however, he won awards due to his cinema career as director. He won: The Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary, The Toronto Film Critics Association Award for Best First Film and The Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Documentary.

Campos, published by Porto Editora in 2014, the book "O Estranhão" created quite the hassle in the teen world.
The main charecter of this book is Fred, he talks about his friends, his "stuff", his secrets..., basically his whole life. During the book Fred shares general wonderments with his journal or as he calls it: "My writting and drawing notebook". He wonders about remarkable themes like how his true parents are aliens and... others of the sort.
This book, in particular, caught my eye because it concerns a teen with a very high I.Q.. He suffers of the same problems that us, teens, all suffer of, however, he handles them in a different way. Due to being exquisite and unorthadox Fred is outcasted by his school comreds.
