Effect It makes me feel relatable and irritated and annoyed because my little siblings have this little arguments with my parents and i can relate to them when I was little and when they have this fights it get really annoying because they want me to help one side out and it irritates me sometimes 

Device the device is that they keep fighting when one of them does not accept or have the same opinion which Appa always starts it

Purpose the purpose is to show that sometimes both sides don't have the same opinions and also that Appa and Janet has different knowledge of the world right now like the trends and stuff because 1 is from the 1st gen and the 2nd gen and also the age gap

Effect: It always made me feel irritated and relatable, because I had a similar thing with my grandma and my family members of me to avoid a black person, because they are scary and will kill you, it's from what my parents say. I get it, don't trust strangers, but I wouldn't all are "bad". 

Device: It's awkwardly racist and odd to see that he does this, from Appa's shoes, he does have good intentions of stopping people from robbing the store, but it goes very odd.
