Aborginies are indigenous people living in Australia and are 2% of the population

In the year 1778 there were estimated to be around 320,000 aborigines in 250 tribal groups when Europeans first arrived in Australia

Aborinigies started off as nomadic hunter-gatherers as they believed that Australia did not have plants suitable for agriculture. They didn’t have animals suitable for domestication either

When Europeans first arrived the aborginies thought they were the spirits of their ancestors, but after finding that the Europeans were invaders they began to fight back. This lead to the Europeans leaving, but not after many aborginies were killed

Dreamtime is a term used to describe the way aborginies understand the world. It similar to mythology, but unlike mythology it continues up to now

Only 1/4 of aborginies can hold a conversation in their native language

Mohawk aborginies invented hockey which was called Aukie at the time
