This leg also disables him from hunting for long periods of time, which is frowned upon by his clan. This issue causes immeasurable hardships because his clan needs more hunters to be able to stock up on food for the winter. Also, Tao is willing to go out into the woods and stay there when he was banished by his clan until he finds and kills a rabbit. This feat takes great courage and bravery to tough out the cold, ruthless hand of Nature.
