Hi All! I am Rei Sanchez-Arias, Teaching Associate Professor at UNC Chapel Hill. I serve as the Faculty Director of the Master of Applied Data Science, and have been working on course development for graduate and undergraduate courses (including intro level courses in AI for a general audience, and data science and AI in the cloud for data science students). I've explored the use of GenAI tools to enhance teaching and learning of the mathematical foundations of different ML models (video/podcast creation, edge cases exploration, dataset creation to demonstrate failure of assumptions, among others), and continue to explore ways to incorporate AI in class activities.
