Europe is surrounded by big bodies of water which made it easier to access for trade. There were many port cities on the Mediterranean sea and trade was a lot easier for them to get goods. Europe was also close to Africa and the Middle East so they had new trading opportunities also had lots of trade partners and routes. The climate was warm so it positively affected the trade route by making the trade routes more available and weren't affected by bad weather. Since the weather was very nice they were able to grow food like grapes which they could turn in to wine this was good because it was good for trading.
