Data manipulations in a computer can take the form of rearrangement (sorting), comparison with a reference value (search/ password authentications) counting etc. Each of these kinds of processing is achieved via a series of arithmetic and logical operations - addition, subtraction, relational logic test and others. These involve the arithmetic and logical operators<strong> (+, - , x, ÷, &lt;, ≤, &gt;, ≥, =). </strong>Data processing in the computer is essentially a mathematical operation. As a confirmation, the specific unit of the computer that performs these tasks is called <strong>Arithmetic and Logic Unit (</strong>ALU<strong>).</strong></div><div>Before processing can begin, the data is first translated to the machine language (binary) equivalent using convectional codes. This is also referred to as digitization.</div><div>Text data are converted using the ASCII or UNICODE.</div><div><em>The central processing unit (CPU) analyzes the raw data and processes it into sensible information. The central processing unit (CPU) analyzes the raw data and processes it into sensible information. The CPU receives instructions from the user and issues prompts accordingly. After the data is processed, it is translated to output formats that are easily understandable by the user.<br>The processed data is displayed on the computer for editing, viewing or playing. The computer’s CPU then receives instructions from the user to save the data securely on the hard drive. Later, the user can choose to modify, copy, move, edit or delete the data. Some of the output values that data is converted into are documents, video files and audio files.<br>A computer system is comprised of three main parts: hardware, software and users. All components connected to the computer via cable or wireless access point are hardware. On the flip side, not having enough for the application or game you’re trying to run can bring things to a crawl or even prevent them from running at all.<strong><br><br>Hard drive<br></strong>It is usually installed internally in a computer, attached directly to the disk controller of the computer's motherboard. A good processor is capable of executing more instructions every second, hence, increased speed. For example, the first computer processor was the Intel 4004, which was only a 740 kHz processor capable of processing approximately 92,000 instructions per second. Today's processors are multi-core GHz processors capable of processing over 100 billion instructions per second.<br><br>Cache<br>Although today's computers can execute billions of instructions every second, the processor is usually waiting for those instructions from the slower types of memory in the computer. Because RAM and the hard drive are slower than the CPU, computer processors and motherboards use cache to transfer data between the processor, memory, and other components. The cache is the fastest type of memory, and a computer with more L2 cache or L3 cache can store more instructions and send them to the processor more efficiently.<br><br>Memory (RAM)<br>DDR4 RAM<br>A computer with more memory (RAM) is capable of storing more programs that are currently running in memory. If your computer runs out of memory, the computer must swap unused data stored in memory to the primary storage device until it is needed again. By adding this extra step, (and because hard drives and SSDs are the slowest types of memory), your computer can become much slower without enough memory.<br><br>Bus speed<br>For older computers, the bus speed of the motherboard increases the speed at which data is being transferred between all the hardware components. For example, an FSB (front-side bus) of 66 MHz is going to be much slower than a 400 MHz FSB. If the computer has a slow bus, the processor has to wait longer for the instructions, which makes the computer run slower.<br><br>Today, computers with an Intel processor use QPI (QuickPath Interconnect) instead of FSB. However, this process must be carried out through two parts: hardware and software, of course, these do not need to be installed by the user since they are included in the operating system.Since you know the general information, I will explain quickly and easily how the information is processed: First, the information received through the keyboard is received by a disk that is shared through other networks. After this the RAM memories store the programs and ROM contains the operating system instructions. At the end, the CPU receives the information sent by the RAM and selects with the ROM the program that should be used for that information.This is how the information is displayed through the chosen program.<br><br><strong>What are the key components that made computers faster?<br><br></strong>I found in different places that there are many components on which the speed of the computer depends, however some of the most common are: The processor or CPU this is the most important since the better its quality, its ability to execute instructions is faster . The processor, as we noted, is also called the central processing unit (CPU). The central processing unit consists of electronic circuits that interpret and execute program instructions, as well as communicate with the input, output, and storage devices.<br><br></div><div><strong>The 4 Steps of Processing Information</strong></div><div>In every computer program sits a set of instructions. The CPU uses the instructions as a guide to run the programs. To determine what to do with the instructions, the CPU goes through 4 steps to make sure the program runs without errors. The 4 steps are fetch, decode, execute and writeback.</div><div><strong><br>Fetch Phase</strong></div><div>The first thing that needs to be done is the fetch step. When the user makes a command to open a program, the CPU receives this request and processes it. The CPU then retrieves the desired program by accessing memory for the program's location.<br><br></div><div><strong>Decode Phase</strong></div><div>The decode process is another list of steps. The CPU breaks down the code so that it is manageable. The parts that the CPU deals with are the only ones that directly communicate with it. The opcode (indicates the numerical order of code) is used to figure out the order in which the code must be executed.<br><br></div><div><strong><br>Execute Phase</strong></div><div>Next is the execute stage. After finding the numerical order of the instructions in the code, the CPU is now ready to execute them in order. The program is loaded and made ready for the user.</div><div><strong><br>Writeback Phase</strong></div><div>The writeback phase is the final one. During each of the previous steps, the CPU records feedback on the process. This is necessary if there was a problem during one of the steps. Even if everything loaded successful, the CPU writes the status back into memory.</div><div><strong>What makes a computer fast and powerful?</strong></div><div> </div><div>There are many components in a computer that help make it faster and more powerful overall. Almost everything you do on a computer will have to be computed by the CPU in some way, so having a fast CPU (high clocks and high number of cores) will make your PC faster.<br><br> <br><br>Each type of CPU has a specific socket, which is called 2066, 1151, AM4, TR4 and so on, and the motherboard will need the exact same socket to be compatible with the CPU.<br><br> <br><br>This is usually the first step in choosing new parts to build your own computer. Choose a CPU, check which socket it has, and then choose a compatible motherboard.<br><br> <br><br>Fan cooler, CPU fan<br><br>Anything that consumes power also produces heat, and the CPU produces a lot of heat. This means that it has to be cooled in order to function smoothly. What do we need to cool a CPU? A CPU cooler!<br><br> <br><br>Make sure you have a CPU-Cooler that is compatible with your CPU and your Socket. It is the same as the motherboard and the CPU. The Cooler has to match the CPU and Socket.<br><br> <br><br>Graphics card (GPU)<br><br>Next is the graphics card. Its purpose is to calculate anything that you have to do with images and send these images (images, user interface, GUI) to the monitor.<br><br> <br><br>There are two main types of GPUs, the integrated GPU (iGPU) and a discrete GPU.<br><br> <br><br>The integrated GPU is integrated into the CPU. This means that some CPUs already have an integrated graphics chip and no additional GPU is needed to connect a monitor. When your CPU has integrated graphics it will go out to the motherboard display adapter. The thing about integrated GPUs is that they are very limited.<br><br> <br><br>They are usually good enough for light tasks like word processing, some minor games and the like, but as soon as you want to dive into graphically heavy tasks like 3D GPU rendering, high-end gaming, video editing, graphic design or many others, you will have to get a discrete GPU.<br><br> <br><br>A discrete GPU is a GPU that is not part of the CPU. It usually comes on its own little printed circuit board (like the one in the photo above), which is then plugged into a PCI Express slot on the motherboard.<br><br>RAM)<br><br>Random Access Memory (RAM), for its acronym in English. It is the temporary storage part of the computer's thinking if you compare it to a brain.<br><br> <br><br>RAM stores the data that the CPU actively works on.
