this was such an amazing book, specialty because it was a true story about the courage and empathy of a boy. Even though he past through a lot of pain because of bullies that made fun of his appearance he made his way trough and just ignored all of them. Such a good book!.

Amina's Voice

After taking a few days from my summer to read, I found that out of the three books I chose, "Amina's Voice" was my favorite. The book is a wonderful read for young readers. It touches on topics such as staying true to yourself, being open to change, and having self-confidence. Amina, being a Pakistan-American middle school student endures changes she wishes would have stayed as they once were, such as her friend, Soojin, making friends with their once bully. Amina's character makes it easy for readers such as myself to connect and immerse in the story because of her desires and self-conflict holding her back. I feel most, if not all, readers have undergone such a struggle in their life. I'd gladly read this book again and others similar to it. -Stefania Galarza-Centellas
