         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Attach the force probe to the friction block</p></li><li><p>Use the wood and table side</p></li><li><p>Pull the block at a slow constant rate so force applied would equal force of friction</p></li><li><p>Record data using Graphical Analysis for about 5 seconds.</p></li><li><p>Notice the shape of the graph</p></li><li><p>Use the statics feature to record the average force along the plateau</p></li><li><p>Record the total mass of the block and the force of friction.</p></li><li><p>Do three trials for the one mass and get the average. </p></li><li><p>Repeat the process; this time, add 250 g to the block.</p></li><li><p>Continue until you have a minimum of 5 data points.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Force of Friction is affected by the Normal Force that is being applied. We saw this when we added more weight on to the block, the Force reading on the graphical analysis program would be higher. This means that when you add more weigh to an object, it changes the amount of friction that is pushing back on an object.</p>]]></description>
