I add all events and meetings to my personal calendar. I use calendar to schedule certain rooms and areas in the school for meetings. I have added several calendars to ensure I am aware of events happening and important dates at our school. 

I do not currently use Google Calendar in my classroom. I think it would be a great tool for students to use. They would be able to list all assignments, quizzes, tests, and events by day. This would enable the students to view the week and prioritize. I plan to work on using gmail and calendar in the classroom next year.

I haven't utilized google calendar in my classroom, but I know there are ways to use it in conjunction with google classroom to help students stay organized...I am also thinking this video chat option would be a great way to communicate in small group discussion...I will have to test it.

I'm not aware of my students using Google Calendar.  I think it could help them not to miss assignments and important extracurricular events.
