But he does carry some against himself. For example he doesn’t like to express his feelings he seems to always keep them more to himself witch then could lead to more of a problem. 
“I have quit rep for being quiet, almost as quiet as Jonny,” (chapter 3, p: 9) This shows Ponyboy is quiet given that Jonny is very quiet so it means Ponyboy is more to himself then other people.
“Nobody but Soda could really get me talking.” (Chapter 3 p:9) Not being a big talker… shy, quiet means Ponyboy is also more to himself type of guy.
