chemical bonding is extremely important to the world. Chemical bonding is what gives us things like water, brass, and stainless steel. These things and many more are created by chemical bonding. Chemical bonding is where atoms join together to form a new, different substance. There are three different types of chemical bonding, one of them is ionic, another is metallic, and the last is covalent. Chemical bonding is important because it allows us to make new substances that are needed in everyday life.

Ionic bonding one of the 3 types of chemical bonding, it is the type of bonding that gives use substances like, calcium chloride and potassium oxide. The electrons involved in ionic bonding are gained, lost, or shared. The bonds are created with metals and nonmetals. The atoms form a crystal lattice structure. The properties that a ionic bond pocesses is that they are brittle, soulable, and they can conduct electricity.

In metallic bonds, electrons have enough space to roam freely through the metal. They can move side to side, up and down, anywhere they want since of the space. Since Metallic bonds can move freely, they can bend and not brake. Properties this type of bond has are that its Conductive with heat and electricity, it also is malleable, and its like ductile. Brass, steel, bronze, and stainless steel are all metallic bonds.

Chemical Bonds are another type of chemical bonding, this is the type of bonding that creates substances like carbon dioxide and water. The electrons that are use to make a Covalent bond are shared among 2 different type of atoms. These type of bonds are created by 2 nonmetal atoms. once they're together they form a molecule. The properties that a Covalent bond has its that it has brittle solids, and also has high melting point. <del>

</del>
