Jubilee Joule is a 9-year-old aspiring astrophysicist growing up in Oxfurd, England during the space age. Protected and doted upon as a princess under her professor-Uncle’s tutelage, “JJ” isn’t quite ready to touch the moon (which she continues to hypothesize is constituted of an obscure French cheese), but plans to reach for the stars in her own way. Alternatively, she plans to either blast over to NASA where the applied astrophysicist action is at, or grow up to be Queen of The Royal Society and bring her stellar and dynamic personality to the study of stellar dynamics. Her aura happens to be as purple as the gas clouds which surround a star, and she shines brightest when peering through a telescope or gathering data.

Inspired by the early booster rocket experiments at NASA for the Project Mercury human spaceflight program, the Bow Booster is both mod and modular in its design. With its fashion-forward signature bow windshield with mirrors, the three compartments fit smoothly into one another just like a real telescope. As Jubilee Joule accelerates forward, the other two cars will drop away in stages. Want to be even more aerodynamic? Pop out the side mirrors as rocket fins and blast off!

Once up there using the purple jetpack elevator designed especially for her, open the dome for a universe of play options!

Good question! I think Jubilee Joule might like to ask questions. Perhaps she catalogs the answers to those questions in her Data Diary (after out "inspectigating" all day with her Massive Magnifying Glass of course). Sometimes her inspectigations can get her into a bit mischief, but no dangerously bubbling chemicals can overrun her T-strap shoes! After all, exploring the natural world and natural sciences often lends itself to starry-eyed surprise. Jubilee Joule lives for those "oh my entropy!" and "quivering quanta!!!" moments.

With a running space motif throughout the set, Jubilee Joule can first enter through the celestial beaded doorway. In the study, JJ can analyze the Spheres through her bow window or simply stare out into space when she needs a little break. When it’s really time to relax, Jubilee likes to head off to her comfy bedroom, complete with an antique British grandfather clock as old as the Big Bang, lively planetary chandelier, and epic suspended moon chair. And when your moon rises and eyes start to close, hit the top of the dome for another celestial surprise! If Jubilee stayed awake too late the night before atop the telescope lookout, try coaxing her down the space tunnel slide the next morning in search of other infinite yet more earth laden adventures.

Professor Plum P. Pudding was borne of the Plush Design Class of Spring 2023. Upon exploring pattern-making for the first time, I quickly realized the making of a soft toy requires the use of the hard sciences - topology especially. Unwinding from a particularly long and furstrating day of sewing, I followed my curiosity and came across quite the enlightening paper online to validate my hypothesis! Professor Plum P. Pudding, (and his niece Jubilee Joule by extension) came to be proof in the pudding that play is as much a phenom of fun as it is of the sciences.
