It only takes 30 minutes by car, but the atmosphere completely differed from my comfort zone. If I had concerns about the neighborhood, it was because stepping out of my comfort zone meant I could not predict what might happen. It might indirectly show my unstable status to escape from a stable life. Sugar House was generally a quiet neighborhood. Being away from downtown, people seemed to prefer a calm way of life over a noisy atmosphere. As seen on the map, there were construction sites around and abandoned buildings, which contributed to the overall quiet ambiance of the neighborhood. If there are areas in need of improvement in this neighborhood, it seems that there should be more infrastructure in place to stimulate the overall economic activity in the area.
