It is about a boy with facial disorders. After being homeschooled until 5th grade, his parents deceided to send him to a state school. He tries to make friends with people at school and learns to cope in the wider world with medical issues. This book has a very moving storyline. It is the first in the series of three. Though it is a hard read it is worthwhile.

I liked this book because it had a fantastic fantasy plot where four clans of cats have been fighting in war over territory and prey until a house cat named Rusty, otherwise known as Firepaw, could turn out to be the greatest cat of all.The plot of this story is Rusty a house cat is chosen to join thunder clan to fight against three beastly clans named shadow clan, wind clan and river clan with the help of star clan but Rusty is starting to think thunder clan's deputy Tigerclaw has killed Redtail the clan's recent deputy so he could be deputy. True Grit, by Bear Grylls.

  The book is a collection of real survival and adventure stories in which all the people showed true grit. The people in the stories have been through incredible things.  There are sad stories and happy stories.  The sad stories are because some people die showing enourmous courage.  The happy stories are where people manage to do unbeliveable things such as being the first across the Antarctic.  I thing you should read this book because it is moving and inspiring.  Bear Grylls' book describes how people were half dead but still managed to keep going at the hardest times.  The book taught me that we should keep going at all times, even when things are tough.  I would recommend this book.  ]]> 2016-10-30 15:29:06 UTC https://padlet.com/e_griffins/halfterm_reading/wish/134087389 Ethan Southward https://padlet.com/e_griffins/halfterm_reading/wish/134088668 I read a book called The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd. It’s about a boy, Salim, from Manchester who goes to sees his cousins, Ted and Kat, in London. Salim goes up The London Eye and he disappears. Ted and Kat investigate what happens to Salim and find out that Marcus, Salim’s friend, helps him run away because he doesn’t want to move to New York with his mum. In the end his cousins find him locked away in the disused barracks, where Ted and Kat’s dad worked. Salim went there because he wanted to take a photograph of the view on the 24th floor and he got locked in there.

It is about a boy called Amman who lives with his Mum in Bamyan, Afghanistan and who wants to leave his country because it isn't safe.
The story follows their journey from his home village to England and includes a companion, a dog called Shadow, they make on their way. 
It is quite sad what Amman and his Mum go through to get to England, because they suffer a lot of pain and hardship on their journey.
I enjoyed this book a lot  because it is very exiting and tense.
I also thought it was inspiring and educational and I would recommend reading this book.

It was about magic but suprisingly not about wizards or gods. It was about apothecaries which weren't like your average chemist but had healing powers that seemed inhuman in that setting. The main character was christopher rowe who was in an orphanage but suprisingly got picked to be an apothecaries apprentice. It is funny and enjoyable to read. It is impossible to put down!

This book is funny because of all the annoying experiences that Tom has that turn out to be really funny.

I read this book extremely quickly because I enjoyed it so much.
