It may take a couple of tries to remind yourself to not throw your used aluminum cans in the trash, but that will change over time as you start to develop the habit.

A developing country like Malaysia will definitely face various challenges such as environmental pollution. Therefore, it is certain that Malaysia is holding a campaign to prevent environmental pollution from spreading to our country. Currently, the most widely used measure in Malaysia is disposal. The environmental department was created to prevent, eliminate, control, and repair the surrounding environment through the enforcement of AKAS (Environmental Quality Act) 1674 and regulations under the National Environmental Policy (DASN). The environmental department continues to promote more effective ways of waste management by encouraging reuse and methods of reducing and ultimately reducing landfill waste. In this matter of case, consumer and household waste and commercial waste generated from manufacturing activities are focused because most of the waste is derived from them. The environmental department provides targeted incentives to companies conducting activities, which meet environmental management, in particular the recycling of wastes such as toxic and non -toxic wastes; recycled chemicals, and rubber. the government has ruled at its best to prevent pollution in our country. Society must abide by the rules provided to protect the environment and set a good example to the younger generation, adolescents and children so that they obey from an early age.

We all know that recycling is the collection and processing of materials that would otherwise be discarded as trash in order to create new products. Recycling has the potential to benefit both our community and environment. by the way, there are few benefits of recycle :

1) protecting ecosystems and wildlife.
- recycling reduces the need to grow, harvest or extract new raw materials from earth.

2) saving energy
- making products from recycled materials requires less energy than making them from new raw materials. sometimes its a huge difference in energy.

3) contribututes to the creation of jobs
- Recycling generates new job opportunities. Recycling entails the establishment of numerous recycling plants, resulting in a lengthy collection and delivery chain. Because all of these activities are carried out by humans, this will result in an explosion of opportunities.

4) Recycling helps to make and to save money.
- Electronics, used water bottles, and other trash can all be sold for money. So, by selling trash, you not only save the environment but also make money.

How to change society's perception if we did not educate them from the beginning. We should teach the students about the importance of taking care of the environment and making early exposure. This will make the students realize how the importance of recycling and make recycling a part of their lives. The outcome is the students will be more responsible for taking care of the environment and their surroundings. This will create a better and safe environment for the future. Seeing the students more responsible will make an impact on society by creating awareness that the younger generation is more responsible and disciplined towards the environment and recycling. Indirectly, this will bring shame to oneself and society will start acting to take care of the environment together.

According to (Min & Mapa, 2019), the recycling rate is still low at only 11 percent compared to developed countries which have reached 70 percent. This situation is increasingly worrying due to its impact on hygiene and health as well as the increasingly limited area of landfills. Therefore, one of the steps that can be taken to overcome the problem is through implementation various recycling programs in schools. In addition, the results show that school students are aware of the existence of various recycling programs and they are also aware of the importance of recycling but to practice this practice is quite difficult. The overall analysis shows that students' perception and involvement in the recycling program is low. Therefore, all parties in the school should unite energy and efforts to ensure that students are aware of the importance of the implementation of recycling programs in order to be able to overcome the problem of waste in schools which in turn fosters recycling practices in students.

Reference:
Min, C.

1. Collection + distribution

The first step in the mechanical recycling process is the collection of post-consumer materials from homes, businesses, and institutions. This can be done by either local government or private companies, with the latter often a popular option for businesses.
2. Sorting + categorizing

The next step in the plastic recycling process is sorting. There are several different types of plastic (see below), which need to be separated from each other by recyclers. Further to that, plastics might be sorted by other properties such as color, thickness, and use. This is done by machines at the recycling plant and is an important step to increase the efficiency of plants and avoid the contamination of end products.
3. Washing

Washing is a crucial step in the plastic recycling process since it removes some of the impurities that can impede the operation, or completely ruin a batch of recycled plastic. The impurities targeted in this step commonly include things such as product labels and adhesives as well as dirt and food residue.
4. Shredding

The plastic is then fed into shredders, which break it down into much smaller pieces. These smaller pieces, unlike formed plastic products, can be processed in the next stages for reuse.
5. Identification and separation of plastics

Here, the plastic pieces are tested for their class and quality. First, they are segregated based on density, which is tested by floating the particles of plastic in a container of water.
6. Extruding + compounding

This final plastic recycling process step is where the particles of shredded plastic are transformed into a usable product for manufactures. The shredded plastic is melted and crushed together to form pellets. It is worth noting that it is not always possible to compound all types, classification, and qualities of plastic at a single plant, so different grades of plastic are sometimes sent to other recycling facilities for this final step.

This is for students to fully understand why recycling is super important. You can do that by providing them information such as
1. If we don't recycle paper, more trees will be cut down
2. If we don't recycle cans or aluminum, the land will be full of aluminum scraps.
3. If we don't recycle plastic, the sea will be filled with plastic floating and sea animals will be endangered.
By doing so, students will have the urge to recycle because they've realised all the bad side effects of not recycling.

As soon as the programme is over, they get knowledge about how to apply recycling in their daily life. We’ve also inform them about local curbside pickups and what kind of waste these curbside pickup accept. It would make little sense, for example, if you separated your organic garbage but there was no organic waste pickup. As a result, be sure your recycling habits are consistent with our community’s curbside collection practises. However, one of the things they can apply in their daily life is to donate old clothes. They can donate their clothes at any branch or place that accepted old clothes. These closhing are provided to the poor or recycled if no one wants them. Giving you garments to those typed of stations Is better than throwing them away in typical rubbish in both cases. Furthermore, they also can donate old stuff. You will amass a large number of material possessions throughout the course of your life that you will no longer require. Donate old but still functional products to needy people instead of throwing them away, and you will be increasing their happiness level. Last but not least, you can list your old items for free on several internet platforms. Instead of disposing of your old stuff into the trash bin, put them on those free platforms and make others happy. You can reduce waste output and make more efficient use of natural resources by doing so.

Raise awareness about important of recycling.

Settlement development, increasing population and irresponsible attitude that lack of awareness to care for and preserve the environment is the cause of the environmental pollution in Malaysia. Director of the Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences, University of Malaya (UM) Prof Dr Sumiani Yusoff said the estimated solid waste generation in the country last year was 38,081 tons per day and the figure continued to increase this year which was 38,699 tons per day.(Hassan, 2021). As a result of that, the objective to raise awareness of recycling to the students is a one of the important and must be apply the value of self-awareness of recycling to the student to prevent and environmental pollution. Students are still lack environmental exposure and are still skeptical about the use of 5R (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot). This is because, the lack of emphasis on the environment causes students to consider this matter unimportant and not harmful to the environment. This is shows that the level of awareness in Malaysia are still average. To raise the self-awareness in students about important of recycling is to organize program communal work by monthly in school. It is to make the students practice of recycling and this will create a habit of recycling in students. Another way to consider is by providing a 3R (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse) garbage in school and this will apply students for using the garbage, in which they will often use it inside or outside schools and it will become a habit. The method will be reducing waste by practices 3R. Other than that, to attract students is by arrange a program that make an interesting activity that relate with recycling such as play games, make a paper dress and painting. Self-awareness is important to build and create a better environmental and reduce pollution. Emphasis and organizes an activity regarding recycling at school or outside will attract students to increases their knowledge and identify recycling. By increasing the value of awareness in students then they will be responsible for caring the environment and take it seriously regarding recycling. The value of awareness is very important in oneself, and it is a basic value that should be apply in every person, if the value of awareness cannot be practiced, this will make the students still insensitive about recycling and the environment will get worse

The learning activity that will be done is the organization will provide an explanation of the materials that can be recycled to the students involved. After that, they will be asked to find recyclable materials in their school area and they will also be asked to build something new using those materials. This can further strengthen students' understanding of recycled materials. In addition, it can indirectly tap into the creativity of students in building something new by using recycled materials. Learners will discover that reusing items rather than tossing them away saves energy and resources when compared to producing new products from natural raw. Besides that, the organization will also provide some recycled materials such as cardboard boxes that can help them in building something new. Among the things that can be done is to build a robot using cardboard boxes. Furthermore, they can also build bird feeders. This is one of those tasks that shows how much cheaper it is to make something out of recycled materials rather than buying anything new. Moreover, there are many more that they can produce from recycled materials such as stationery organizers using old cans, make blankets using unused cloth in the school store, recycle trash to flower art and more.

Although in recent generations were quite used to resuse or giving items new uses, we have become accustomed to using and throwing in recent decades and generations. using and throwing has become ingrained in our culture. we normally use one thing and we throw it away when we finish using it. Thus raising awareness regarding recycling is very important for today's generation. The activity that will be done to raise the awareness by organization is discuss with the students about the importance of recycling and hold a contest to create poster for recycling. Students will ask to divide by groups and discuss about recycling with their group members. Once when students are understand about recycling, they need to create a poster and insert the important points about recycling in their poster. In this activity, students will understand more about recycling by exchange their opinions and also they will remember the importance of recycling by creating their own recycle poster.

Learning activities that will be done to provide knowledge about the application of recycling in daily life is by teaching students to recycle items found in their homes. School students can start their new recycling habit by starting to recycle their old, used, worn-out school papers at home. As students, their rooms are most likely to be filled with those old materials are left and aren't being used to do habitable things to the world.

They will be taught by our respective emcee on how they can be able to transform their old papers into new and reusable biodegradable paper bags. To make the steps easier for the students, instructional printouts and step by step guide on ‘How to change old papers to paper bags’ are distributed amongst the students. This will enable the students to be more independent and be more reliant to be able to start their recycling habit. Lastly, to add a bit more excitement for the event, a small competition with a prize to win is being held for the students to customize their own paper bags into anything they wish. This will develop more interest towards their recycling hobby.
